  • This 360 degree video presentation of the Dance of the Vajra, which was performed and filmed at various centers of the International Dzogchen Community around the world, was created specifically as part of the celebratory events for Chögyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche which were staged on the 27th of September, 2019, in Arcidosso, Italy. The project was designed by Giorgio Barberio Corsetti and Alex Siedlecki, with the technical design by Igor Renzetti. The video is a part of the exhibition "Meditation in Motion - Footsteps to the Sublime: The World of Tibetan Sacred Dance", which is currently on display at the Museo di Arte e Cultura Orientale di Arcidosso, until the Spring of 2020.
The video begins with the Dance of the Vajra being performed at Khandroling, in Buckland, MA, USA, where it was first discovered by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche, then moves to Merigar, in Arcidosso, Italy and then concludes in Dzamlinggar, in Adeje,Tenerife, Spain.
The film is divided into 4 simultaneous video segments which together present a 360 degree view of the Dance - as seen from the center. For the installation, each video segment will be projected onto one of 4 curved screens, 2 meter high, arranged in a circle, 10 meters in diameter. The video will be projected from 4 video projectors situated in the center of the circle of 4 screens.
Many people were involved in the realisation of this video but we would like to especially thank: Prima Mai, Adriana Dal Borgo, Rita Renzi, Mariya Stepanyk, Gabri Siedlecki, Bodhi Krause, Matteo Maglietti and all of the VAJRA Dancers.. The music of the Song of the Vajra was arranged by Roberto Cacciapaglia. All Rights Reserved. © 2019 MACO
