Jennifer Garner can do deep sadness. I believed her on that. I wish they had taken us along on her transition from peppy in her steppy super mom to bloody warrior. From super honest straightforward love muffin to killer of bad guys. I don't need honesty a la documentary, but I just couldn't get there with her. Or that all the bad guys are Latino during the last 4 years. Who would relate to this? Racists? Entitled suburbian ladies? While Jennifer looks gorgeous, it's so campy - it reminds me of Pamela Anderson's detective show. Did they mean for that to happen? Why is the leader of the latino gang a white guy that reminds me of SuperMario?
VERY LITTLE, "Woke". A female ass-kicker, that's REALISTIC, not stupid, I'm-better-than-a-man BS. Maybe two, tiny, cringe moments, but really no issue. You want America to watch your shows? THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT. This was American badass, ALL THE WAY. Not only is her character believable- but they showed HOW she became so awesome? VERY simply, and it WASN'T the story. Who the hell did this one? BRAVO! AWESOME. FUN AS HELL. MAKE MORE, AND THEY WILL COME.

This is 2004 Punisher with a female lead. Still awesome but is almost identical in terms of plot. Very much enjoyed it and hope there is a sequel
