I played with this build for some time and it's really awesome. It sacrefice some damage by not taking Mercy Killer/Uncanny Strike but its carry-ability increased hard by achieving almost 100% uptime of Shroud. Reviving players, doing mini games objectives, stabbing enemies from shroud in middle of fight a lot, sniping problematic enemies from stealth, reloading, fast heal etc etc. is all super big here. Thins that I changed however after testing 1. Switch Zarona to Bolt Pistol with Surgical+Puncture and Flak/Unyilding. In my opinion after playing for like 20h with this build, Bolt Pistol is better than Zarona. Faster reload, better hip fire, same accuracy, but also stagger and bleed and more magazine and faster reload. 2. Switch 5% crit chance perk on Combat Blade to 25% bonus carapace damage. 95% crit chance vs 100% crit chance is pretty much no difference but 25% more damage makes difference when you try to burst down couple of crushers with push-attack-headshots combined with heavy stabs. But overall this build is probably the safest build you can take to carry Auric. You can revive in middle of biggest shit, easy peel range enemies far away due to knife speed + invis and do objectives uninterrupted if you are fast enough in mini-games.
Just tried your build (slightly modified), w/as close to gear tier as I currently can. Works effin' spectacularly. Effin' fun build, too. Can't overstate that...
11:05 he has a cataclysm jungle fighter set. You should read deathworld about them. It goes into the symbiotic relationship we have with our environment and fighting it often leads to our downfall
So, ironically, after I made my last post and made my case for the dueling sword, I went back and tried this build with the MK VI combat blade (I prefer it b/c I find headshots easier when it's a horizontal slash rather than a 70 degree diagonal slash (or whatever angle that is and horde clear /feels/ easier too). I tweaked some of the perks and blessings a little (flak/carapace) and Mercy Killer. I know MK is not the meta, but I get so much crit I didn't think I'd need the 5% or something or riposte for the extra 20%. I make the argument that MK may not be quite as powerful as Uncanny Strike, but US requires the same headshot/weak spot strike as MK /and/ US requires 5 hits to be at max effectiveness. With MK, coming out of stealth guarantees a crit, which increases our crit more with Scourge, but more importantly gets the bleed we need which means the 2nd weak spot/headshot hit and all subsequent hits are doing 60% more dmg. /And/ while US is basically ineffective on monstrosities, MK is effective on everyone. For a ranged weapon, I went with the bolter since we have mobility covered with dagger, if you can ADS with the bolter, you can snipe long range targets if you can't get them with your knives and it's more effective against a pack of ragers or maulers or whatever. And I put unyielding on that for boss killing if closing distance is an issue at all. I think that cover my build, would love to know what you think. I did also tweak some talents like not taking Thy Wrath Be Swift and went down the right side of that branch there. With Swift Certainty, I don't think I have to worry too much about ranged attacks and Punishment has melee ranged interruption covered (though, let's face it, with combat blade, it's not likely you're going to get interrupted). And I had a blast on a level I was just doing for a penance. I have yet to take it out on something difficult like auric maelstrom, but can't wait to give it a try. Thanks, again, for this build.
Your soundtrack freaking slaps man! haha Love the build too. My only criticism is that you promote the classic "Shade" mentality from Vermintide. This is where the shade players were faster and just like this zealot build. They would run off ahead thinking they are helping the team by killing everything behind them, but instead they are actually leaving people behind. Personally, I love to use my speed to cover my team as much as possible. Since I am the fastest person. I stay behind and make sure the slowest person isn't getting bogged down by trash mobs and then since I am so fast, I can bee line out of there and catch up with the team. Take this with a grain of salt though. We all play our own way. :D I'm not trying to throw shade (pun intended) your way. I can tell you are a great player. Just thought I'd bring up the point that with great powers comes great responsibility. Since you are the fastest and what not then you should bolster the team instead of leaving them behind.
I like the idea of clearing the next room, getting objectives started, all that. I play it as a vanguard/disruptor, so when my team reaches the room the enemies have been thinned and are in disarray. But yes, it is an inherently selfish build- as i said, you will be “that guy” if you play this build.
Pretty new to the game (around 100 hours) early in the game I was really attracted to the knife but didn’t know how to get the most out of it, so I set it down. Now that I’m late game looking for builds to do high level content challenges with I have a good blueprint to try playing stab zealot again! Ty! I know how people view knife zealots, but MAN does this look fun to try.
best build is running stamina curios, no gunners perk. Best is block efficiency, sprint efficiency and stamina regen. If you actually want a damage build just take fury of the faithfull instead. If you're next pick is momentum you can swing your blade at an insane speed.
Not running duelist makes the build actively worse so not its not a great build 50% weak spot and 50% finness damged is literally the biggest damge increase in the game besids the ult. It all stacks and is much more than just 50% damage.
Is there a discord for “duelist lovers” or something Some of these comments are sounding like bots Hey chat gpt, i know duelist is good, i cant fit it in the build without sacrificing other shit. I need second wind, enduring faith, pious cutthroat, righteous warrior. Also loner and swift certainty are good. Its not always about the damage, gpt.
@@MisterEtide bro you call the video strongest zealot build, showcase a build that can be made stronger, and when ppl are telling you how to make it stronger you argue with them. All I'm saying is you shouldn't be surprised these comments exist
@@MisterEtide It's not bots, it's just that Duelist is regarded highly as one of the strongest damage talents in the tree, and your build is specifically built around dodging for a lot of things. That said, with the build path you've taken you'd have to spend a LOT of points to get there. The standard thing would be to drop Blazing Piety and Swift Certainty, take Inex Judgement, which saves you two points already. Even without Blazing you'll easily crit enough with the knife to get max bleed stacks in about 1 second. Taking Blazing Piety for maxed out crit would have made a lot more sense with the previous version of Invocation of Death which went down every crit, but now you don't really gain much from going from over 70% crit to near 100%, especially not with the damage, attack speed and (hidden) dodge bonuses that Inex Judgement can get you for fewer points. Also note that Loner does NOT stop specials from spawning. That's a fake rumour apparently, the spawning of extra specials isnt tied to being in Coherancy, its tied to being Very Far Distance from the rest of your team, and Loner doesnt affect it. The only thing Loner gives is small health regen from toughness replenishment. The only reason to take Loner is because it saves you points over the other two auras, really, as the build goes down that route. Swift Certainty is also bad now that it's nerfed to 5%. It's just 5% movespeed in most circumstances, you can already dodge hits when sprinting whilst you have stamina so the edge cases when you're out of stamina are very minor. The playstyle of your build is very effective of course, and all the key elements are there, all the quibbling in the comments is mostly just about minmaxing the last few points here and there.
@@Ultragravy Swift Certainty is worse than 5% move speed because a +5% move speed node would result in an even larger sprinting speed increase. As it is, dodging ranged attacks while sprinting is limited to a very narrow acceptable angle and it doesn't matter if there's a second shooter. And you should be sliding pretty much all the time in combat anyway, which means that even if you would dodge a shot by sprinting, you've already dodged it by sliding.
I consider Disdain (1st skill on the left) to not be that useful on the combat knife, since you don't really cleave through much. Even when you cleave through 3 enemies and get 3 Disdain stacks, these are not renewed with the next hit (the one which uses up the stacks). So you get 15% - 0% - 15% - 0% = 7.5% avg damage bonus. I'd rather go with the more versatile 10% attack speed bonus
If youre interested in my updated version of this build, check out the gameslantern build page. I think its as refined as it can get, perfect solo or rogue play build
So, I know it's the new hotness recently, but you could do this build with a dueling sword, no? You would lose the flesh tearer blessing for the bleed, but since crits cause bleed to stack more crit with scourge talent, you don't /need/ that blessing. Instead, you have your choice of shred (+20% crit at max stacks) and choice of thrust for that sweet, sweet single target damage or rampage that would apply 36% damage buff. To me, those blessings are superior to the dagger blessings and you have better reach with the sword. Also, sword heavy hits over twice as hard as dagger heavy. Additionally, they have the same +sprint bonus at 60 mobility of +80% speed, same +stamina bonus and the only major difference is that the dagger does have better dodge distance, but to me, that's more than a fair trade to have better reach and better blessings. What do you think? Also, great video, thank you.
Dagger has a hidden +20% damage on backstabs that makes it so perfect for all the backstabs we want to do. Its movement tech is also considerably faster than duellings tech is. The push stab on the dagger is literally perfect for our purposes, because it holds an enemy in place then delivers a really high damage attack, great for getting backstab kills out of stealth. I also really love the bleeds, they end up dealing with so many enemies without having to worry about finishing them, if you land a crit light attack on any non elite theyre dead in two seconds, really frees up your attention for all the other action. Dueling is great though, i just think the dagger has an edge (lol) in this case.
@@MisterEtide Ahh, but rampage blessing that the dagger doesn't have gives you 36% damage (though conditional on having it up) not to mention if we're both using heavies on the backstab on dagger and dueling sword, the ds has a base damage that's over double the daggers' anyway, that 20% is still not covering it even if the blessing isn't up. And you still have the option of thrust or rampage (to me shred would be the mandatory one) and thrust option would give you extra 60% strength on demand. I'll concede the push stab and movetech, but otherwise, I feel like the ds has better reach, better blessings and better single (maybe even horde) damage. I'm genuinely not trying to be combative, just trying to theorycraft this out (though the best way is probably to play with both) and thank you for the quick reply.
No honestly, this build is overkill on critical chance and is running suboptimal perks. Knife is one of the highest base critical weapons in the game, typically sin builds don't use blazing piety at all. Riposte on knife can be swapped in with mercy killer or precog. Additionally you always want to run duelist on zealot in general, its one of the strongest damage nodes in the entire game, essentially 4x your damage. Disdain also isn't a good perk for sin zealot either. Good balance isn't needed due to diminishing returns, 50% toughness DR from enduring faith is more than plenty unless your movement sucks.
While he was talking about builds i heard Deep Rock Galactic tracks (Rock and Stone everyone), while he was playing first was Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance music "A stranger i remain" mixed with "I am the storm that is approaching" from DMC 5, couple other remixes for it later and some music I can't recognize.
I’m less about “is my build the most broken in the game” and more about using the gear that’s setting specific because you don’t use it in other settings. Auto guns, stub pistols, knives, swords… these are basically things used in other games. A bolter, plasma gun, chain sword, chain axe… these are all awesome things that are 40k staples. I’m not going to use a knife no matter how broken it is in game. It’s a knife. They are everywhere. I just used one to butter some toast not a few hours ago. I’ll stick with the setting weapons, thank you.
I'll try the build, dont listen to the negative comments, its your build they can whatever they can and they can choose not to play this build with the route you are taking. Keep doing a good work varlet!
giving up duelist for thy wrath (or anything else) is a terrible trade. you would be about as tanky taking benediction over loner too. there's very little reason to stick to the right side, it's the weakest part of the tree. this is a great build for dying far away from your teammates.
Except you will never die because you always have stealth. We get little to no benefit from duelist because we spend the entire 5 seconds in stealth, so duelist would expire. There is such a thing as too much damage, and not enough utility
@@MisterEtide killing things is the strongest possible utility. it's a permanent stun, 100% damage reduction, prevents them from moving, and prevents them from going after your team. having a couple extra dogs is no big deal when you're not dropping the bulk of your damage for defensive effects that are, frankly, kinda low impact.
Bury The IDOL - Eurobeat, A Stranger I Remain - Extended Eurobeat Remix, It has to be this way Eurobeat remix. Not sure if Red Sun was also in there somewhere. Slowly learning to play this build, to not be a nuissance for other people runs. Phew, it can be demanding to keep up with what's happening. That stealth is required for that. Not sure i will try it on heresy until i have good weapons. It can do a surprising amount of support, even if the main function is to stab stuff and i like that.
Use a real build without a trap aura that does (virtually) nothing and has the correct talents for the weapon and you can clear Aurics and not go down at all 😂
except the points that dont match for me (lvl30) its a fun build TBH, thanks for the tight share, I actually play it with double barrel shotty and have a ''blast''
Anyone got recommendations for an eviscerator build? I love my gigantic ass chainsword and also dont want carpal tunnel from clicking so fast with a knife
Get auto melee mod if you’re on PC, I play on controller and you can use steam to map keyboard buttons on gamepad. I go pretty much all left tree, pick up piety. Take the scourge bleed/crit chance on the top and to the right. For blessings perfect strike and shred. Perks +5% crit chance and whatever you want, I take 25% flak
I have a hybrid crit/marty tank Eviscerator build that I main. Go down through the throwing knife taking Scourge and Enduring Faith, then down to Thy Wrath Be Swift. Then cross over and take the Until Death stuff into Benediction into Fury of the Faithful. Then go to the Martyrdom section taking the wounds and both nodes. That should leave you with 5 flex points you can put into whatever ya want, but I like going to Invocation of Death and Sustained Assault. Then I take Flak/Maniac and Shred/Momentum on the Eviscerator, with 3 Wound curios.
Great stuff Engee, to the comments does anyone playing not at the highest level find weapons like the knife non satisfying. I know they’re not as efficient but I love the big sweeping weapons 😊
I think it would be really hard to play on controller because you need to whip your aim around so much. Knife certainly is missing the crunchy impact of axes and hammers
I'd say Crit Heavy Sword is even better. 70+% crit chance on top of full stacks of Martyrdom. You will be using your Fury of the Faithful constantly as you're critting each hits, essentially making you immortal as long as you play decently. It also hits the same compared to Rashad MK2 clearing capabilities, gets me about 800k+ damage on my most end card missions @quickplay and 4 man randoms.
@@RPGandFPS It is in terms of hypermobility, ST damage but it's only mediocore to decent in horde clearing where other weapons excel at. For clutches it's undoubtedly the best though, IMO having most special/elite kills on top of being the top Damage on the leaderboards is my kind of thing that's why I run MK II combat Axe or Heavy Swords.
@@MisakaMikoto1069 Horde clear isn’t the best but considering you’ll never get hit and you’ll one tap every mob it doesn’t matter much. In terms of elite/specialist killing knife is still better than everything in the game.
Dueling sword eats Knife for breakfast after update. Also why Riposte and not Mercy Killer? You kill elites way faster with Mercy killer and you can already get close to 85-90% crit chance without Riposte which is more than enough. 60% extra weak spot damage will give you on average better result I think when you have to kill multiple elites with knife.
Dueling sword is ok but does not have the speed of the knife and no bleeds Mercy killer means we have between 35 and 65 crit depending on scourge stacks, thats kinda low and youll spend a lot of time getting unlucky with no crits and bleeds. But build how you want, the core is the cooldown on stealth
@@MisterEtide Base crit chance base 5% + 10% combat blade chance + 30% from Scourge stacks (which is pretty much perma as you have both Flesh Tearer and Scourge especially with Shroud since you can crit on demand on boss/crusher) + 5% from perk + 25% from Piety = 75% crit chance. Riposte gives you +20% so 95% but you don't actually have Riposte 100% uptime, it only counts on perfect dodge not just on any dodge. If you watch your own footage you can see when you fight horde it's not 100% uptime even if you spam dodge all the time since enemies get staggered from hits or die before many times they can start or finish attack animation. Riposte works much better on Dueling Sword though with Duelist. And Dueling Sword right now is the "God-tier" build on zealot. You two/one-tap Crushers in head on auric, you have range, attack speed and huge headshot crit damage with Precon perk, higher than on dagger. If knife shroud was already easy mode on Zealot, Dueling Sword is even more broken. And with knife attack speed I don't know how you can say you can get "unlucky" with no crits and bleed. That's not how statistic works and math with how many hits you are making.
This build is.. uhhh.. let's just say "sub optimal" to be kind. I won't even talk about duelist okay? Just the first "spare" point you have, not even the rest of the build. Disdain. A mk3 pretty much only hits ONE thing at a time, and disdain doesn't gain a stack when it procs, so it is only every other hit you get 5%, so over the course of a game that is 2.5% damage extra - although in typical Fartshark fashion it's buggy and doesn't trigger at all sometimes so it is really less than that, but we'll say 2.5% damage over a whole game - when there are multiple other more useful places to put that point. Faithful Frenzy would be a better option for 10% attack speed with the rest of your build as-is especially with how light spam happy you are, that's 10% faster crits, 10% faster application of bleed. Minimum 10% more damage in a game, in reality far more due to being able to build Piety, Scourge and Sustained Assault stacks quicker and thus having a higher DPS for more time overall. Anoint In Blood is good with revolvers for break points on some things (I don't remember what, Revolvers are meme tier weapons - I don't use them.) If you're using it a lot to take down ranged enemies and specials before they get close, that can mean that you can kill with one bullet instead of two. Two bullets to kill one target vs two bullets to kill two targets. That's over 100% damage effectiveness increase. If it reduces 3 shots to 2 for some enemies with higher break points you're still saving ammo and time reloading too. I could say a whole lot more, having over 2000hrs playing exclusively knife zealot of various flavors. But I will say this, do the math on Loner, it's a trap - it sounds good but it's nothing but two wasted points as either of the talents to get to it are useless too. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to hit the unsubscribe button because I don't watch click bait.
sry what do you mean if not "loner" then you'll get ambushed by specials in the game? 6:05 Unaware of this mechanic and looking for builds for my new zealot. Thanks!
So you know how coherency works, and gives buffs based on being near your allies? Well if you are out of coherency for a set amount of time, the game spawns a disabler (trapper, dog) to “encourage” you to regroup. Since loner makes you count as always being in at least 2 coherency, you do not trigger the game to spawn these additional specials! And of course loner provides a constant toughness regen.
Disdain isn't a good feature for knife zealot cuz need a loot of cleave to work properly. Your build is missing Duellist feature, the best from Zealot's tree, I think you should go for benediction side instead of Loner, because Duellist alone is better than every feature from Loner side.
I explained it a little in the vid, but loner gives us regen when we are away from teammates, and prevents targeted special spawns. If you play like i am in this video without loner, the game will print dogs and trappers and send them after you. Also cant make it to the necessary keystone points with crossing over the tree twice like that, 2-3 points short at the bottom
Gotta be honest here, there are so many comments about optimisations and 'duelist' routing. and I read alot of them and made the suggested changes, but every change I make to this build just ruins it and leaves me failing missions, if I take this build as you made it (the only change being I took the faithful attack speed buff over disdain as that's the only one I feel is fine) then it works perfectly and it is exactly as advertised (god tier). I challenge any of the commenters with 'optimisations' and 'better build' opinions to link me a build that works as well as this one.
Yes they all miss the point of the build, near constant stealth uptime. They desperately want it to be the meta boss killer, but its not about pure damage, its about being able to do everything well.
I agree honestly I change around some stuff and I die so much and it just doesn't feel "right " anymore. I change it back to this one and it feels more consistent with damage and I quite literally never die. Could be placebo ofc but if it works it works.
So is the new Invocation of death better for Shroudfield and worse for Chorus? It used to be you got credit for as many crits as fast as possible. But looks like now the crits after the first don't matter for a few seconds. Sux.
It is better for everything. In 3 seconds you will generate and extra 6 seconds of cooldown, for a total of 9. That with old invocation would require 4 crits. Unless you were getting more than 4 melee crits in 3 seconds before (which nobody was) the new one is a huge upgrade. The added ability to get a crit and then play defensively for 4 seconds without losing any cooldown is also really really huge and makes it relevant on all builds and all weapons basically.
@MisterEtide I liked hunting crits to bail out the team with a Chorus. Guess I should start playing more defensively. Or trade Faithful Frenzy and Second Wind for Pious Cutthroat and hunt Backstab Kills.
@@MisterEtide also: does the timer reset with each crit so that it is constantly active in a fight, or is it locked out for 4 seconds (so to maximize you have to crit 4.02 seconds after you last activated it. Ie. critting once every 3 seconds would result in multiple seconds when it isn't active)
@@MisterEtide But does much higher damage. The crit chance is so high the not having a bleed talent is irrelevant, as you’ll be proccing bleed on crit enough.
the bleeds from scourge are 1 stack, the knife gives an additional 8 stacks on crit- the bleed is really really important here because it allows us to hit targets and then move onto another enemy knowing that first one is dead without any additional attention. It does a lot of work that isnt apparent immediately, it killed 25% of the enemies in the game here, and does big work on bosses. Also knife is fast, and has a hidden +20% backstab bonus, but the fast thing is the most important of all, for positioning
@@MisterEtide I get all that, I've been playing zealot since release and enjoy knife. But the damage on dueling sword is absolutely busted. You're sacrificing a little mobility for damage - one to two shotting crushers. It's incredibly silly. It's so silly I don't feel good after using it. Feels unethical. Knife does too.

@agrape2887 I don't know either. If the focus was optimal it wouldn't even use blazing piety. Sucks hes being toxic in comments. Darktide community moment.
tbf bro none of those are better than duellist and going blazing is just overkill on crit chance. if you make statements like "the strongest build in Darktide" and have several poor choices in the tree and weapon picks, people are going to question you. a lot of darktide creators tend to make titles like this and make suggestions that simply aren't optimal. I love fun builds like full momentum loner etc but to state they're meta or optimal is just incorrect unfortunately. you do have a tendency to do this on quite a few of your builds, it's nbd and we still enjoying your content but yeah
Zealot is literally the best class, period. Wayyy too much toughness regen/ dmg reduction. I don't really play it for that reason. Got bored pretty quickly
@@galahadvangraff6883 lol there's essentially no other class in that game that can straight up face tank multiple entire elite packs and just rend dmg and ignore their entire armor pool with the fastest melee weapon in THE GAME.
@@ThisIsExile91 I mean no class is going to be able to tank every hit except maybe a shield ogryn. However every class has builds that can handle armored elite patrols just fine. Veteran has plasma builds, psyker has electricity/brain burst, ogryn has push bleed. Zealot is the best at purely melee but that's intentional.

@@pappajoe6825 Dropping the bottom 3 nodes above momentum and the DR on dodge. Duelist is a MUST for any knife set up. A decent chunk of your burst damage comes from duelist, it’s 50% weakpoint dmg and 50% crit dmg that stacks.

@@MisterEtidethere’s a really neat website called games lantern which has a bit dedicated to darktide builds, would be a massive MASSIVE convenience to everyone if you started putting your builds there (not sure how uploading builds and stuff works though)
im gonna have to kick a horse when its down and agree with some of the other comments, this looks nothing like the "strongest" build in darktide, hell, more than half of my builds coast around 500k damage very casually, but then again as u so plainly put it, it depends on player skill and optimization of said builds.
Damage is not the factor in question here, its the stealth uptime. I guess my mistake was uploading a game where i was playing with skilled teammates who held their own, rather than one where i carried singlehandedly.
How do you get weapon mods to work without game becoming unstable? It seems when I have the mod active, the game kicks me about every 5 min. If I disable it, no issues.
do you have any tips for new players? been playing the game for 2-3 weeks but I still suck the same, often being targeted by hounds and hunters, pinned against a corner by hordes and all, I never seem to dodge effectively once Im surrounded... I love darktide, but Im getting frustrated to the point where Ill just rage quit mid game cause Ive been picked off by a horde or a hunter and my teammates are way ahead of me and I feel like a burden having them save me all the time (sorry for venting lol)
From what I read, your main problem seems you get stranded alone too often, and that triggers hordes and specials to come pick you off. Try AS HARD AS YOU CAN to stay with or even a bit ahead of your team, even if that means not searching the place for materials or even killing stuff. That's the gist I'd say : priority number one is to stay grouped, THEN once that's natural you can improve by adding more. The player base often impose a high pace for efficiency, that's sometimes sad but we can't really fight it. Other than that, the dodge timing will come through with time, and in my case by watching videos too, and trying to integrate in my gameplay stuff I see like for exemple not dodging the dogs but parry-push them as they prepare the lunge. Sound cue too, is important to time dodge for trappers. Good Luck !
Sounds like positioning, not dodging that needs work. When you are facing lots of enemies do everything you can to not let them trap you, keep moving around their group and use shoves, abilities, barrels, whatever you can to keep them in front of you and not to your sides. Pick off the frontmost enemies until the horde is manageable, or drag them all to your team if truly overwhelmed. And practice, practice, practice
Ill admit most of the time Im focused on clearing waves instead of following my teammates because, in my head, the levels will be more manageable if the enemies arent stacking up, and those sound cues... oh man, do I need to shorten my reaction time, but thanks for the tips yall, Ill put them into practice right away :)
It's not, especially for this build that doesn't even use Holy Revenant. You'd be better off stacking toughness due to the amount of toughness DR and toughness regen available to Zealot, but most zealot mains find stacking stamina is better so you never run out of sprint or pushes, this prevents taking damage and keeps you alive longer over all.
@@MisterEtide thanks a bunch that video was very helpful. Reading between the lines, am I right in thinking that despite zealot being better with health curios, if I’m playing a knife shroud build that doesn’t take the health based nodes like Restoring Faith (regen health on taking damage) and Until Dearh/Revenant that make stacking health worth it on zealot, I’m better of going toughness curios till I’m skilled enough to roll all +3 stam?

Meta-Build in London
The crackhead overdose build
I played with this build for some time and it's really awesome. It sacrefice some damage by not taking Mercy Killer/Uncanny Strike but its carry-ability increased hard by achieving almost 100% uptime of Shroud. Reviving players, doing mini games objectives, stabbing enemies from shroud in middle of fight a lot, sniping problematic enemies from stealth, reloading, fast heal etc etc. is all super big here.
Thins that I changed however after testing

11:05 he has a cataclysm jungle fighter set. You should read deathworld about them. It goes into the symbiotic relationship we have with our environment and fighting it often leads to our downfall
By far the best build, I can personally vouch for this one. I'm currently using it but with flamer 😬
Dodging is cool, but smashing heretics with a hammer before they can give you a reason to dodge is better.
Thanks for the build, I was a die hard psyker fan, but this is the most fun I've had on Darktides
Is there a discord for “duelist lovers” or something
Some of these comments are sounding like bots
Hey chat gpt, i know duelist is good, i cant fit it in the build without sacrificing other shit.
@@Ultragravy I'm going to try this out. Thank you
--a new Zealot player
The Emperor protects
I'm genuinely not trying to be combative, just trying to theorycraft this out (though the best way is probably to play with both) and thank you for the quick reply.
isn't this literally a very standard knife zealot build?
Didnt say it was original, said it was strong
Pretty atypical, actually...

Ran combat blade for like 600 hours. Just discovered dueling sword and won't be going back.
giving up duelist for thy wrath (or anything else) is a terrible trade. you would be about as tanky taking benediction over loner too. there's very little reason to stick to the right side, it's the weakest part of the tree. this is a great build for dying far away from your teammates.
Honestly need this playlist from you boss. 🔥

Coming back after a few days to say this build is the first I've used that I'm able to consistently clear Damnation BARELY EVER going down.

Try it with some martyrdom build so it can swing faster on horde and low mass specialist/elite
Then I take Flak/Maniac and Shred/Momentum on the Eviscerator, with 3 Wound curios.
god emperor forbid they fix wounds for Martyrdom build for higher difficulties and rework Martyrs Purpose because holy shit its underwhelming

Great stuff Engee, to the comments does anyone playing not at the highest level find weapons like the knife non satisfying. I know they’re not as efficient but I love the big sweeping weapons 😊

The knife is just hands down the best melee weapon in the game. It even does more dmg than the thunderhammer which is insane.
@@RPGandFPSNever getting hit compared to playing well with Fury spams from crits nets you the same effectiveness with a Heavy Sword regardless.
what is that vets "doomslayer" build you mention it looks fun
Dueling sword eats Knife for breakfast after update. Also why Riposte and not Mercy Killer? You kill elites way faster with Mercy killer and you can already get close to 85-90% crit chance without Riposte which is more than enough. 60% extra weak spot damage will give you on average better result I think when you have to kill multiple elites with knife.
Duelling sword mk 4 ?
Shred + Recognition ?
Dueling sword is ok but does not have the speed of the knife and no bleeds
Mercy killer means we have between 35 and 65 crit depending on scourge stacks, thats kinda low and youll spend a lot of time getting unlucky with no crits and bleeds.
@@MisterEtide The knife is not just a weapon. It is a way of life. "You feel the need. The need for speed."
@@honestbennythunder hammer is better.
Lot of good info in these videos, but my God dose he take his time getting to it.
Cmon, thats the fun part!
I agree that first talent point you mentioned is what made me the most confused.
what song is playing in the background when in match?
Great build! What mask is that? How do you get it?
You didn't address why you took Disdain over Faithful Frenzy.
Attack speed is already so high with this knife its kinda diminishing returns, neither talent is all that great for the build so pick your preference.
@@MisterEtide Blood Redemption then seems like decent option. You clearly don't need it, but if I were to nitpick about it...

Unaware of this mechanic and looking for builds for my new zealot.
@@MisterEtide oh right yea I see now, thanks
@@MisterEtide cool, i didnt know that but I should have guessed considering.

I was "that guy" already, E. My Zealot's speed is unGodly.
I'm not more interested in efficiency, but in making it feel good. I want a build to hit only lightning for psyker
Check out my psyker builds vid, its the first one
How did you get a scope on the revolver?
You can move about 8 or 9 talent points and not "ruin" the build, keeping the theme of high crit ability cool down. That is frankly quite flexible.
Some questionable tree picks. Several questionable tree picks..... 😅
Ie. critting once every 3 seconds would result in multiple seconds when it isn't active)
never thought mgr music would fit darktide (pls share the mix)
Dueling sword might even improve on it
It doesnt do bleeds and doesnt make you fast like dagger

What songs are those?? Those go hard!
You consider dropping those bottom 3 nodes above momentum to grab duelist?
I cant see anywhere in this build where you could scrape four whole points from just to get a little more damage on a build that already does an obscene amount
@@RPGandFPS yea, he was clearly struggling.
@@RPGandFPS I was literally just running that exact build and was consistently oneshotting anything smaller than an ogryn which only took two. I don't see any reason to drop multiple very useful nodes when it doesn't help me hit breakpoints
@@pappajoe6825 Duelist is better than all 4 (3 perks) nodes combined. If you don’t understand why 50% weakpoint dmg and 50% crit hit dmg is one of their most broken perks then I don’t know what to tell ya.
I am very new to this game,, how do you fan the revolver
Middle click/special action with the quickloader revolver
Very nice. Really nice.
What blessings and rolls do u put on the revolver? Don’t remember you saying or showing either
Hip fire and whatver else you want
because of the "stirb" (14:18) I am going to try this
I didn't see a mod list or a separate video about mods, what are you running? I like your scoreboard and truncated talent trees.
No link so we can view build conveniently instead of constantly trying to scrub around and see all the details...
It’s at the beginning of the video, idk how to make it any easier to find mate
Sorry, maybe I misspoke. I am asking for a link to an outside website that we can view the full build in a browser while we watch your video side by side. It makes it a lot easier to match your build if we don't have to constantly pause and rewind and scrub around to different parts of the build to figure out what goes where. No Biggie though, I understand delving into the builds on multiple platforms it's not for everyone
@@MisterEtidethere’s a really neat website called games lantern which has a bit dedicated to darktide builds, would be a massive MASSIVE convenience to everyone if you started putting your builds there (not sure how uploading builds and stuff works though)
Just search up games lantern darktide builds and you’ll find it
I played silo-cluster with you earlier, I was LeeHarveyBongswald the Vet😂
Oh yeah you were terrible! Jkjk
@@MisterEtide Fuck yeah I am!
do you have a video or guide for how to mod the game like you have it?
Yes, look at my video that titled darktide modding guide or smth like that
im gonna have to kick a horse when its down and agree with some of the other comments, this looks nothing like the "strongest" build in darktide, hell, more than half of my builds coast around 500k damage very casually, but then again as u so plainly put it, it depends on player skill and optimization of said builds.
Damage is not the factor in question here, its the stealth uptime. I guess my mistake was uploading a game where i was playing with skilled teammates who held their own, rather than one where i carried singlehandedly.
@@MisterEtide That's definitely not it. This reply was really unnecessary. 😅
im just here, checking the viewcount to see if this video has hit three million views yet.
Let it cook
Ill admit most of the time Im focused on clearing waves instead of following my teammates because, in my head, the levels will be more manageable if the enemies arent stacking up, and those sound cues... oh man, do I need to shorten my reaction time, but thanks for the tips yall, Ill put them into practice right away :)
where are the cosmetics coming from?
Is that red dot sight thingy on the hand bazooka a mod, or a skin?
It's mods.
I’ll try giving the build a run, fun vid :)
Played with the build, can confirm insanely cracked. Had the highest score on the team several times
How do you get the sight on the revolver?
Prolly Weapon customization mod its great if you play pc!
Could anyone expand on why stacking health is better than toughness for this build?
I will be putting out a video soon addressing curios and preferred stats
When is that armor going to be back in the shop.Does anyone know if theres a way to know what cosmetics are going to be in the shop next?
No they dont have any info about that stuff, its really cool and i think it sold well so maybe it will come back in a few months
A half million views at least 😂😂😂😂 Bro has jokes
Could you make some eviscerator builds?
Ill see if theres anything that piques my interest
@@MisterEtide it would be really cool to see what you come up with... i like to think i have something interesting going on but you just have such a deeper understanding of the game im sure you could find something cool with it. If anything its at least weapon a decent amount of people want to use and be good i see it alot in matchmaking
Can backstab be a light attack or does it have to be a heavy attack from behind?
Any melee attack
Great guide!
this will be my first time EVER trying something other than my thunder hammer one shot build lol wish me luck
This is like the polar opposite zealot build so have fun learning!
meh, you would have done better if you utilized knives more often. build takes too long to kill armored targets tbh. upwards four hits to the dome versus maulers and crushers aint no one got time for that. ive seen others with this build two tapping.
You’re talking about a fundamentally different build, one that has better boss kill but at the expense of stealth cooldown.
o.O intresting i have the same Knife u show 80% Dmg, Fin, Pen, first Target but my mobility is at 59% didnt thought the values would vary now anymore but ye seems im wrong
The numbers always add up to 380, they said if the numbers dont its just a visual glitch.
@@MisterEtide yea noticed that now after bit more checking as well now u can end up with 4 80 %s and then the last can be 59-61% currently
The rat build
the scoreboard say everything about this build 🤣
Kinda hard to show it when im competing with a 4k level vet also running a good build. We did our part, this wasnt a hard carry
player skill and build viability are not the same. though i can see how you wouldnt understand that
Competing in a co-op game?
Aye aye aye! 😅
Stealth Hammer is more fun and goofy.
How do you have a scope on the revolver?
Weapon customization mod
Also... when channel memberships?
I dunno how to do that, but I’ll make sure you get the first one!
