Day two with Jasmin aboard (from This Narrowboat Adventure, link below) and we headed up from Stone through Stoke on Trent. There are several rather deep locks to traverse but the day was fine and we stopped to pick some towpath damsons as we went along.

I love that the swans always come straight on at the boat as if they expect _you_ to move aside for _them_ and only get out of the way with great indignation

Buy the house and moor the boat. Then rent the house😉
I'm blown away by the canal system you have over there. Physically I wouldn't be able to work the locks but very much enjoy the (video) ride. The history behind a lot of what you pass really gets the imagination going. I love trains too.

The canals are like an open-plan museum. You see so much old industrustrial architecture about and you can spend some time guessing what old buildings and components were used for !

These videos are captivating. I have never owed any type of boat much less a narrow boat but am still intrigued by all of this. It seems like a lot of fun and sure beats the hustle and bustle of city life. I am not aware of this sort of thing in existence anywhere in the U.S. but river boats are definitely a thing near where I live. Jasmine sure was a great assistant.

Well, it took 2 months, but I've finally caught up to you. Thank you for allowing me to experience what canal boating is like, albeit from half a world away. It is the kind of life I dreamed of when younger, growing up in the Puget Sound area in Washington state. Even in my late 50's I still dreamed of owning a sailboat and mooring it at the marina near my home for day trips on the sound and on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. But then I read "Passage to Juneau" by Jonathan Raban and by the end of the book, knew sailing wasn't for me. There were simply too many uncertainties with tides and currents, mooring etc., even though boat life still appeals to an introverted curmudgeon like me. All the best to you David and thanks again for the ride along!

2 of my favorite You Tubers together. It does not get any better than that! I would love to have such an agreeable crew member on my boat. :)

Thank you for the wonderful video. Jasmine is a delight and a quite handy lock tender. Really enjoyed the narration. Have a good week.

Good times. Nice scenery . Great company. You don't need that lottery ticket. You've already hit the jackpot.

Houses sound like a good idea but boats generally don't need annual termite treatments. Or weekly mowing.
On the other hand, houses don't generally need zincs, propellors, stuffing boxes, fenders ...

Your vlog titles are the best - from Canada where we also have a Trent canal system that runs for hundreds of miles but is not very well suited to the glorious narrowboats that you have in the UK. Also, sorry for the geese.
