HIEROGLYPHICS on Touring Europe and Their Impact

Anfang Juni '24 haben wir, als offizieller Partner der Europa-Tour der Hieroglyphis die Hip-Hop-Pioniere in Hamburg getroffen. Über 50 Jahre Hip-Hop, mehr als 30 Jahre Hiero, 25 Jahre seit ihrem Debütalbum »3rd Eye Vision«. Wir wollten von ihnen wissen: Wie fühlt es sich an, endlich zum ersten Mal in Deutschland zu sein? Und am wichtigsten: Warum hat es so lange gedauert, bis die ganze Crew zusammenkommen konnte?
In diesem Interview haben wir sie auch gefragt, wie sie sich als Pioniere, Legenden und Ikonen der Hip-Hop-Welt fühlen. Sind sie sich des enormen Einflusses bewusst, den sie auf die Kultur ausgeübt haben? Wie fühlt es sich an, zu wissen, dass sie so viele Menschen inspiriert und unzählige Leben mit ihrer Musik verändert haben?

In early June '24, as the official partner of the Hieroglyphis European tour, we caught up with the hip-hop pioneers in Hamburg. Over 50 years of Hip-Hop, 30+ years of Hiero, 25 years since their debut album "3rd Eye Vision." We wanted to know: How does it feel to finally hit Germany for the first time ever? And most importantly: Why’d it take so long for the whole crew to come through?
In this interview, we also asked them about their status as pioneers, legends, and icons in the hip-hop world. Are they aware of the massive impact they've had on the culture? How does it feel knowing they've influenced so many people and changed countless lives with their music?
