This is absolutely incredible. I can't show enough love for Native Instruments here. The fact that this was made by a professional company but still translates into other software is such a cool move on their part. I use LMMS for composition, and the advice here translates perfectly into that DAW and my VSTs. That, in turn, makes me all the more willing to start using KOMPLETE software, because it's clear these guys have quality in mind instead of dollar signs.
They dont actually. They know that kk and maschine are niche daws (not exactly daws tho) so they gotta fit into mainstream. Still these vids are very good.
You can use any spectrum analyzer/scope and there are free ones as well so I don't see any issues on this. The purpose of showing the waveform on different software is to show visually the waveform in pitches. For the purpose of this video is to illustrate so the viewer has better understanding. Making and modifying the sound is by NI's own effects and instruments.
Playlistunes I hear u this is why I don’t have Maschine I don’t like the software. It comes to show you NATIVE INSTRUMENTS doesn’t like their MASCHINE Software either.
I was once able to speak with someone who works in NI and even he said, he and other from NI are using other DAWs. Maschine was just designed to make loops, not sound design or actual songs.
Playlistunes can't wait for the next big machine update but I truly love it for what it is. I started getting lazy and taking the faster less personal route to song creation without it for a few months and picked it up this week and the flow and personal connection you get to each sound is such a (better? It feels better ) workflow changer it keeps you fresh and full of ideas
USEFUL BASICS - Thanks a lot! But at 1:00 NI Drums: Why don't you change the default-settings of all these NI-Kontakt-Drum-Instruments to a setting that makes more sense? Watch my screenshot of the STUDIO DRUMMER-options-page (TRIGGER ON MOUSECLICK + SHOW TRIGGER STATES - both checked!!!) : drive.google.com/file/d/1Cd-9psHbkV4vis1_7jI4FgekHpwDyB9l/view?usp=sharing
Useful content like this is always welcome! I hope NI will continue this, maybe even start a series or something.
film. porno
there is a playlist with other NI how tos: ruclips.net/p/PLkFqg7ZvTWb1e8dr9NwqP2RkrjtJAXCAX
Having Richard Ayoade narrate this is what gives it such gravitas

Apparently this guy did two Ph.D's in kick drum science at the British Royal Institute of Science....
Very informational, love it!
Thanks NI
You work for NI but you got splice?
So this cannot be done in maschine studio?
What are those visualizer he is using to see the wave
An oscilloscope plug-in, (not sure of the name), and a spectral analyser called Voxengo Span.
Meldaproductions Oscilloscope.
If you are an Ableton user, try Spectrum on the track you want to analyze.
💯
broooooooooo i neeeed maschine 2.8 NOW
How about you update Maschine and use your own software in your videos?

Use the sampler in Maschine if your that desperate to see the waveform. Bruh....

The fact that NI doesn’t use Maschine in their own tutorials is just embarrassing tbh
Can I use one method ..well I guess not.... i guess there's more than one recipe to make a good soup
why define 'kick drum'? anyone watching this probably has a slight idea of what it is.
Robert Mckoy hahah exactly. I was laughing at that ridiculous intro 😆
@@johnryansullivan2439 right like the first 2 minutes need to be its own BEGINNER'S Beginner tutorial on what an instrument/sound is
I fell asleep woke up played the video again fell asleep !!! maybe its the accent
This is too basic to be called "make better kicks"
Sometimes the basics which are very important are forgotten.
@@riktascale4 It should be called "make basic kicks"
@@captainfishbar4507 why do you even need a tutorial if you are so super advanced
that's it ?
NI no customer support? Really? None at all? Smh
BORINGGGGGGGG
The information at the beginning is not necessary. 95% of people watching this video will understand this.
