I've made macarons since June of this year. There are a few things that people mess up on, and trust me, I mess up with macarons too. Everybody does sometimes. But messing up is a way of learning how to make them better. All advice aside, those are really good macarons. Good job Remy.
I LOVE YOU😂😂❤❤❤ NOT JUST YOUR COOKING, BUT YOU😂❤ YOUR STORY TIMES, YOUR PERSONALITY.. BASICALLY I JUST THINK YOU ARE AWESOME HUMAN❤❤ AND YOU ALSO SHARE AMAZING RECIPES!❤❤
The thing with macarons is, the batter gets overmixed or undermixed SUPER easily. Its really hard to perfect that. But personally, idrc, macarons are macarona, and macarons are always great lmfao 😂😅
Like even an oversized macaron is good and since they cost like 2-3 dollars each totally worth making at home. While I don't go feral (in the nicest possible way lol) like raguesa's ugly macaron, I am not to fussy with mine.
honestly i just do the ribbon test every minute or so when i think it's getting close to the right consistency. also make sure to mix the batter with an upwards motion, don't press down on it cuz that will press out the air
I love ur videos soo much! And mostly, that u are for real! Most youtubers say that some things work and lie but u actually say the reality!:) Keep up the good work!❤
You can try making the italian macarons. And while sieving the dry ingriendients you could use a spoon or a spatula and a bigger bowl to sieve. This recipe uses two egg whites. ITALIAN MACARONS Ingredients:- Almond powder -250 g Icing sugar - 250 g Egg whites (1) - 95 g Egg whites (2) - 95 g Castor Sugar -250 g Water - 100 g PROCEDURE:- 1)Take a saucepan add sugar and water, while heating you can add colour of your choice. 2)Set your thermometer at 118 °C . 3)While the mixture is heating up,in another bowl add in your sieved dry ingriendients (Almond powder, icing sugar) along with your 2nd Egg whites,to form a paste. 4)In a bowl ,whisk your first egg whites till it fluffs up (to be precise ,start whisking egg whites at 109°C). 5)Add in the sugar coloured mixture (when it reaches the set temperature in thermometer ie. 118°C )slowly into the whipped egg whites mixture. Fold in the mixture until well combines. DO NOT OVERMIX. NOTE:- You can add extra colour at this stage to get your desired shade of choice while making macarons. 6)Fold the batter into the paste little by little until well combined. 7) Flip the bowl to check if consistency is right,if it doesn’t fall you are good to go. 8)Pipe the batter and bake for 130°C for 20-25 mins. (The above temperature depends on oven to oven. Please check before using) Tip for beginners:- If you don't have macaron mat,you can use normal silicon mat , dip a small round cutter into flour to make the perfect round onto the silicone mat. This method often gives you that finished look to the product. Hope it helps!!
It shouldn't run right off, what you need to do is pick up as much batter as you can by scooping so under and then it should take around 7 seconds to slowly fall off and disappear into the batter after 30 seconds. It should not fall out of the piping tip, you should hace to push it out a bit 😊 @littleremyfood
@@littleremyfood they're very flat and they shouldn't run that much when you pipe. I had the same problem when I first tried making them. I recommend beating your eggs longer than you think you need to. The peaks shouldn't curl at all when you take your mixer out. Also fold in your dry ingredients instead of mixing them normally. It's a little better to undermix than overmix too. Great first attempt though! (Better than mine)
Tip: if you scoop the batter up with a spoon and put it upside down if it falls down slowly, then it’s good but if it’s too runny or it doesn’t fall down then it’s bad. Hope this helps!!!!!❤
A trick I found for sifting with a colander is if you hold the rim against the spinning mixers of a handmixer, it goes through pretty fast and sifts well. Although you need to make sure to have a good grip though 😅
You should make peppermint cake balls! It’s great for the holidays! What you have to do is make ur favorite cake recipe(preferably vanilla) then make a butter cream recipe when the cake is done let it cool and when it’s done crumble it up then put the butter cream in along with some peppermint oil and some crushed candy canes. When ur do with that put them into balls and let them rest for about 15~20 mins. When it’s all cooled melt some white chocolate and crush some candy-canes then dip the balls into the white chocolate then the candy-canes! (You can put them on sticks if you want but they will probably fall apart) that’s the recipe for some yummy peppermint cake balls!! Hope you enjoy!
You know what, these are great and probably taste amazing i hate that by watching a lot of cool cheffsi can tell these are overmixed, but, really, if you're making them for yourself/your family/friends nobody will bat an eye that they are flat. You can improve and make them the "proper" way, but if its not your proffesion to make them perfect, then all that matters is the taste and the smiles of the ones who eat them! ❤❤❤
hi! i have some friendly advice for you or anyone that has failed (or not been happy with the result) of macarons. im french, and so i grew up making theese things. i learned from an early age that ivermoxing or undermixing the batter can really mess them up. if you over mix it, it can turn out flat. another thing to make sure of is can they pass the tap test. the tap test is where you tap them lightly and if it cracks (breaks into itself) they werent properly made. Practice *SOMETIMES* makes perfect, not always tho, so just remember that.
one time at a Christmas market there was a macaron stand and along with the good looking ones there was macawrongs im serious there were so many so even people selling macarons for a living make tons of mistake so i think you did pretty darn good
My dad learned how to bake macarons as his covid boredom thing instead of cutting hair or hacks, now he sells them as a side hustle and makes many flavors. They are very nice 😁
I had to make macarons and eclairs for my final exam and a few things i was told is when you're mixing you want you batter to fall off of the spatula in a nice steady stream and then you wanna watch the batter and make sure it slowly absorbs back into the rest of the batter. On top of that i learn not to swirl it onto the pan but instead to start in the middle and hold the piping bag straight up and just pipe it put until it reaches your desired circumference. I got a perfect score on my raspberry lemon macarons. Good luck
I love making macarons, if you have trouble sifting the dry ingredients you can use a spoon to help flatten everything through. Makes it much easier. 😊
