Alpha Phi UMN: 2016 Red Dress Gala

Every February, the Epsilon chapter of Alpha Phi at the University of Minnesota hosts our Red Dress Gala, bringing together family, friends, and fellow collegians for an evening dedicated to raising awareness and funding for women's heart health.
This year, the Gala was divided into two parts: a formal dinner and a post-event reception called Crash the Gala. During the formal dinner guests enjoyed one another's company over a delicious meal, engaged with our inspiring keynote speaker Dr. Rekha Mankad, Assistant Professor of Medicine and Consultant in the Division of Cardiovascular Diseases at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and reveled at a chance to win big during our exciting live auction hosted by nationally-renowned auctioneer Karen Sorbo. Crash the Gala guests joined the event shortly following the conclusion of the live auction and tested their luck at one of our blackjack tables, cheered on Alpha Phi women strutting down the runway during our fashion show, explored our silent auction, and hit the dance floor with the musical stylings of Evan Jobin from Lux Entertainment.
Setting a new chapter record and breaking our fundraising goal, our chapter raised nearly $83,000 for the Alpha Phi Foundation at our Ninth Annual Red Dress Gala!
