Can you tell your pal to get out all his oohs and awes out next episode so episodes 63 and 64 he can just fully embrace the tension filled narrative storytelling cause that stuff gets very serious not so shounen anymore...it becomes really engaging about 1/3rd the way into ep 63 and doesn't stop for the rest of that ride even a little into 65....62 he can gasp and scream and be joyful and all that go all out be emotional ..but he should really listen to the dub lines in 63 and 64 and hush up be on the edge of his seat...their incredible eps in dub and the writing acting made togashi and the studio work better than it originally was meant to be

There's an interesting difference between the dub and sub versions here. That punch Yusuke was trying to block until Toguro stopped short? In the sub Toguro apologizes for it and says that it wouldn't be fair to attack from that angle, knowing that the shock wave would hit Keiko and the others if Yusuke dodged it. Yusuke replies that he didn't know Toguro was so chivalrous. The dub makes him sound much more sinister in that scene, even subtly threatening Keiko ("You say that now...") rather than seeing her presence as an unfair advantage.
I would suspect that something is being lost in translation there and that English translation in the Sub from Toguro wasn't meant as a benevolent/noble comment given the context. Possibly being used as sarcasm. Even in the manga Yusuke's statement is translated as chauvinism which has a more negative connotation.
I mean both are true. While original serves to contrast with how Toguro will later try to hurt Keiko to push Yusuke, in the dub it adds to the emotional debate between Toguro and Yusuke, specially when he tells Yusuke "They're the reason you've been limited until now. You don't need anyone else."
You did see his eyes before, albeit briefly, but that was back when he has human. This episode is build up, but the dialogue exchanges from the combatants and the various commentators is awesome.
In the manga, Chu, Rinku, Jin, and Touya have been hanging out with the main cast since they rescued Keiko. I don’t know why the anime cut them and Yusuke’s mom from appearing in this arc, especially since the demon allies get a payoff for this later in the story.

The anime staff probably didn't feel the need to adapt all of Yusuke's ghost adventures, and plenty of other things could've been cut/altered to set a certain pace or conclude on certain resolutions. I wouldn't really say it's time given how much new content the anime added in.

Have only just finished the intro but I think the SOS Bros have gotten a bit confused. Sakyo hasn't hedged his bets. By the sounds of the conversation, the SOS Bros think he's bet on Yusuke's team and therefore even if Sakyo dies, the money will still do its job. That isn't what's happened. By having the first three fights end with 2-1 to Yusuke's team, Team Toguro has suddenly become the underdogs. By Sakyo announcing his idea to make this fight worth two points and be the end, the tournament reopened bidding. And Team Toguro's rate will have changed to a higher number than before AND be higher than Team Urameshi's because they're now the odds on favourite to lose. This means if they now win, the people who bet on them will make more money by betting on them before this fight than they would have if they had betted on Team Toguro before the final matches even began. This means Sakyo would not have bet on Team Toguro until after Kuwabara vs Elder Toguro. And now he can put all his money down with better odds to make even more money than he would have if he had betted at the beginning before Kurama vs Karasu. Sakyo may not be able to physically fight but he's a genius and a great character in this show.
yeah they are trying to finagle a more convoluted plan for Sakyo for some reason (likely because they erroneously beleive he's going to be a longe rlasting villain than he is) and also because they misunderstand what his plan actually is. They got it into their heas early on that he's betting on Yusuke to win somehow and now that its clear that's NOT what is going on they're scrambling to find a way to fit what is going on with their preconcieved theories. (also another possible reason is them thinking Sensui is Sakyo for some reason)
hahah this is the biggest issue that the Bros have, sometimes they theorize so much that they forget that some things they talk about are theories. It's kinda fun
@@jp3813 SPOILER yeah he got damage from those times, also yusuke was enraged from genkai's death, but talking about the battle in this moment he is more collected and concentrated, and we know later on that big part of his power still resides in his emotions so his blast wasn't enough to seriously damage him, unless he got regenerated offscreen which we wouldn't know

In original japanese manga Toguro said " っと･･･失礼 この角度で攻撃するのはフェアじゃないな Oops....sorry. attacking from this angle wouldn't be fair" and Yusuke said "へっ フェミニストだったとは知らなかったぜ Huh, didn't know you were a feminist". And I love it. ("feminist" was used to mean "someone who is nice to girls" in Japan in 90s tho) This english dub is not just changing lines, they changed the character itself. This is sad but I can't recognize this as Toguro, and saddest part is most of people believe this is Toguro that Togashi wrote.
It's not that big a change. While in the manga it serves to contrast later when he intentionally goes misses his attack on Keiko, here it serves to highlight the emotional duality of Toguro. It's different, but ultimately it's the same character as the manga.

Do you know the actual line Toguro says there? Not the dub line created by translator, but the actual line Togashi wrote, I mean.
They line makes no sense cause of the final arc and ruins yusuke

Unpopular opinion, but I'm not the biggest fan of the changes the dub makes to Toguro. Especially his last line in the show

@@dankwaifu2093 YYH in the beginning was not generating the views they wanted so they cut Yusuke's ghost cases to get into the major fights sooner.
