I've found that using the sim rate increase has messed up several of my missions, with strange outcomes. The only way I have found that helps, is to not leave it going too long, ie going back to normal sim rate several times during the long part of travelling.
For the SAR mission in the Geehi mountains, you need to land in between the trees behind the tent, there is a bit of a clear spot. if you land there the helicopter will stay put. if it slides down during the cutscene it will not count you need to be stationary. The SAR in Canada is even more impossible. I need to turn tree detail and fauna to low in order to land there Crazy!!!! These SAR missions are broken and repetitive, after a lot of frustration I now finally got to SAR with hoist, hopefully those missions are not broken it helps if you also do other missions, than the SAR missions will spawn faster, I think. I only get two helicopter SAR missions in Canada and Australia, sometimes they are both gone on the map, and it takes some time for them to reappear, it sucks that there are only two missions at the start, not sure if other areas have them as well. I hope they improve the SAR missions. for me this was something I always wanted when playing MSFS2020 but not like this.
The same missions tend to respawn daily. I have the same ones you have, plus a handful around Idaho, Utah, and Colorado. You can "fast travel" to any airport on the map, including in areas you've not flown to before, and it will unlock the area. Zoom in on an area you want to unlock, find an airport and click on it, and there should be a fast travel option - it just costs a variable amount of credits depending on how far it is from your current position.
@ this is interesting - last night I did a random flight in free flight mode in Africa. Just logged into career and it has me at that airport in Africa, so apparently you can unlock new areas for free that way. As for SAR missions, I have some originating from the following air strips: 4U9 - Dell Flight Strip in Montana, WY30 - Kinky Creek Divide in Wyoming, LTRK - Trukee-Tahoe in California, and C24 - mineral co meml in Colorado. Also one hoist mission off the Oregon coast that starts in OG26 - Roscoes

For removing the EFB - there is a button (pretty obscure) on the top right corner/edge of the EFB. Click that and the EFB will disappear.

@wrb6483 Tried that in last night's stream twice with a cost of over 10K Cr. and 900 Cr. to move with absolutely no SAR Missions revealed.
