one thing I don't often see complimented about Bill's work that I'd like to highlight is the audio production quality. Mixing and mastering your own stuff can be a tough ask but with Bill's songs I can hear every layer and every little intricacy with perfect clarity
Mixing must be a nightmare for poor Bill with the amount of stuff going on in his music

i am going to figure out the meaning of alot of bill wurtz's songs. Im starting with this one.
its about an amnesiac("where ive gone i dont even remember" and "what ive done i dont even remember") that learns about what they regularly did before their traumatic experience, and strives to be better("what i do i dont" and "so pave the way all the way from yesterday into another day") and because of their amnesia-inducing experience, they have a vivid imagination, creating stories("let me tell you a story" and "let me tell you a fable"). they are also trying to find out their whole past by disassembling their stories, believing their stories have a link to their past("lets put it together, lets disassemble it, then reassemble it back to 100%"). the next part is something like they found out something horrible about their past and is about to end themselves?(that goodbye part) idk. then they remember they were in love once, and how it felt("fell in love once. fell in love hundreds of times..." then "each one of those times was a good time") then they learn they DIDNT do the crime or somethin?("where i was i just found out that i wasnt!").
thats my interpretation. whats yours?

when watching older bill wurtz videos, i noticed that bill's visual style changed once he learned 3d with 'here comes the sun'.
the main differences are:
• less color flashes and other drug-like effects
• more dream-like smoothness
but the sounds and music sound the same style as before.
way earlier, when he started putting his media on youtube and not just his website, that's a much bigger change:
his music became much less predictable (much better), and he does them as music videos rather than just the music itself

"So pave the way, it's already been paved today. You don't have to pave it again."
I really love this lyric. It's a reminder that we don't have to strive to be extraordinary all of the time. Some days we can just exist, and that's fine, because the world does not sit on just my shoulders, or just yours. It's okay to let someone else be extraordinary today, I've got plenty of time to be extraordinary tomorrow, or next week. Today I can slow down for a bit, because someone else has already paved the way, I can just follow it.
according to bill this lyric sprang from the fact that he reused that lyric from the previous chorus, and realizing that he had already used the lyric and thus already paved the way, he put that in there and dropped the notes down and liked it that way. or something like that i may have got some details wrong

Such a bop. And his editing has definitely gotten better. This is gold if I've ever seen it.
Videos with this title always give me anxiety.
Bill is that part of the Internet that barely is present, but once gone the Internet will never be the same again.
For some reason this song feels oddly sad. It also gives me the vibe of that he is leaving again with his lyrics of "Nevermind we'll do this another time, so you can say goodbye." as if this was the "another time". I could be wrong but if I'm not, goodbye Bill. You've been an inspiration to a lot people and hopefully more to come.
Nooo don’t jinx it!!
I think it's kind of hopeful, and melancholy. To me, the song references that the past happened, but it doesn't really matter what it was.
I feel like this part of the song ( 2:18 ) talks about dealing with hard things like negative thoughts. Paving the road is like learning how to deal with your internal problems, but then the next part suggests that you don't have to fix it all right now. I think that's what the "Nevermind we'll do this another time, so you can say goodbye" was supposed to mean.
I might be overanalyzing, but that's what I think about it.
I don't think bill wurtz will stop making art; but if he does, that's okay too.

I’ll be honest, when I just knew Bill Wurtz for his more goofy content like his vines and history vids, I tried listening to some of his music and at first it just didn’t click with me for some reason. But over time, it really grew on me, and now I can’t get enough.
"So pave the way all the way from yesterday to another day. Nevermind, we'll do this some other time. So you can say goodbye... Goodbye forest, goodbye trees, goodbye plant, goodbye leaves, goodbye flowers and beauty. Goodbye horses, goodbye bugs, goodbye challenges, goodbye love."
Is this song about suicide?
I think this song's about placelessness, like not having a strong idea about yourself, but somehow also having some idea of that at the same time
I think the “goodbye” part can represent a need to close yourself off from everything, not necessarily through suicide, but maybe through isolation. Maybe you’re trying to get better by keeping to yourself, but the funny thing is is that it’s saying goodbye to all these nature-y things, to beauty, to challenges, to love…
and then the last parts of the song feels like a lovely moment of grounding from all the confusion presented in the rest of the song, it’s remembering love from the past, good times, better times…
to make the realisation now, that even through all of it “I’m having a great time”
and then the last two lines leave an ambiguous ending, even through this joyful feeing, you can’t help but still question the possibilities and different opportunities you had in the past
3:01 ah yes, "horses"
