I think they have to have 3 wires in the plug, otherwise it won't work, I have one of these in my MJX14210 HYPER GO and the lights don't go out because they also only have 2 wires. Try it on another car with the 3 wires and you will see that it works👍🏎🇬🇧

I just got a gt5 today and no power to the receiver. No light or flash. Nothing.
That sucks you probably just got the lucky bad one it really is a great radio I love mine.
