50 some years ago, I found a couple of boxes of 78s in the trash. King Pleasure, Sinatra, Basie, Ellington and more. Saved 'em. Gave them to a collector instead of hauling them around in my various moves. Wish I'd have taped them...
Thank you. As a color vinyl collector the 2 color pathe disc at the end is the piece I'm happiest about. I still have about 2/3 of this stuff to go through.
Vinyl rules. Tape degrades, CDs internally self-destruct, digital dies with hard drives and power outages, but you can always crank and victrola and play your vinyl.

I don't collect 78s myself but I enjoyed watching part of the haul.

I still have a lot to look at but found a 1905 disc at a glance yesterday. 120 years. Of collector value or no, one must appreciate that.
