- A Powerful moment in the sheds tonight when Raider #88 Laurie Daley led an emotional tribute to Raider #149 Quentin Pongia.

It's great to see Laurie come and talk to the boys. He was integral to that team when they were a formidable powerhouse from the late 80s to the mid 90s. There were a lot of great Kiwi boys who played for Canberra during that great era ; Brent Todd, Ruben Wiki, Sean Hoppe, John Lomax, and the late great Quentin Pongia to name a few. Fantastic footballers. Respect to you all.

Not a raiders fan but love seeing this kiwi boys in the squad. Quentin was an absolute force for the Raiders, always remember him and Lomax, then Reuben Wiki following on 🤙
If I had a son who wanted to play nrl footy. I’d send him to these guys to learn to be a man and a team player

Love watching the Canberra Raiders on TV back in the 90s. They were a powerhouse back then. Powerful tribute to Quentin Pongia.

Late 80s and early 90s was a fine time for the Raiders. Pongia was a great player. Awesome Haka by the NZ boys.

I'm a die hard doggies fan and if there's any team I don't mind losing to than its the Raiders. That Raiders team of the 80's and 90's was superb.

I was a one time supporter of Canberra, but these guys just showed what great respect for their past and present players. Well done guys you deserve your win not only for you but those before you. 🙏🏼👍🏼

I think the 94 team may go down as possibly the greatest team in Rugby League competition. Broncos after that. Not sure if either we're under a salary cap though.
Didn't exist back then, big part of the reason they did was because of dominance from such teams

Apart from an amazing Mal, also respect to Quentin and sad to hear of his passing and also a mention for one of the top modern Props to bless that era Dave Furner How many metres did he eat up for the team, Brett Todd he will just hit up and defend all day. Also another few mentions for some players who are non-raiders who i have learnt to respect over the years Chica, The Late 80s panthers team. Cant go past Blocker and Siro. Gene Miles, Gary Jack, Brett Kenny and co the list could go on and on. Jarrod Makracken, Tony and Kevi Iro. Respect AUS.

The 94 Raiders team was one of the greatest teams to watch especially with Daley and Stuart in the halves and this is coming from a lifelong Roosters supporter
That early 90's Raiders team were hot. Mal, Sticky, Loz, Clyde, Mullins, Walters, Lazarus, Todd. That's a few caps just with them boys. Daunting on paper.
