In pre-timeskip Luffy was taller then Nami but it was kinda slight. Post timeskip, things are animated so that Luffy is shorter then Nami but in actuality Luffy has always been taller.

In Germany he's called Ruffy and I recently re-watched some of One Piece with the German dub because I think they do a good job and I can also do other things such as eating. Guess my mind was still stuck on that. Usually I call him Luffy when writing in English, because some people can be very ignorant and are not educated enough to know that series in different countries call characters different names. Also, for it could have just been a typo, but for someone who can't even write out words correctly and starts their sentences with offending others you complain quite a lot.

Personally, as long as Luffy gets to 5'9 in height, I'm fine. He doesn't have to be a giant but I hope he grows to the point where no one either in the show/manga or in real life can call him "short", "midget", "half pint", "brat", "boy", etc. I know he's 19 and is grown and beyond puberty but since he's still a teen I think he can still grow a bit. If he's not gonna be huge then he'd might as well be average.

In that panel/frame Shanks looks ridiculously big, while the official height of Shanks is 199 cm. Also, all of the Admiral look like "normal humans" but their height is so tall (no normal humans could reach 3 meters). I don't mind if Jinbe, Kaido, Big Mom, and the giants are big because they look proportional. But the Admirals, Doflamingo, and many others look weird
