Fining your phone carrier sounds all good and such, until you realize that a) the carriers will just pass the bill down to their customers whom they already betrayed. b) The fines are miniscule, and it's likely that they made more money than what they were fined; so they will continue to sell customer data without consent and mark it up as a cost of doing business.
As always, thanks for the hard work, fam!
sudo thanks, gr8 job:))

Outabox: Guy was arrested for blackmail in Australia
Android issue already covered by Mental Outlaw in quite some detail.

You can block microphone and camera on every new version of android
SysD is not okay nor that new addition.
If only Microsoft would support TOTP authenticators
Anyone know what was the name of the authenticator mentioned at the start of the bitwarden authenticator story. I though he said "NT Auth" or but searching that or for "NT AUTH TOTP" got me nowhere and autogenerated captions didnt catch it either .
It sounded like he said "NT OP" though
Hey, who's 'Paris Ian'?
there is a spelling mistake in the timestamps!
Where at? I don't see it. -N
@@surveillancereport the last timestamp should be 26:00 and not 36:00 :)
Oh, whoops. Thanks! -N
what about graphene?
It affects all Android OS's because it is upstream in the AOSP itself. Custom OS's might try to find their own workarounds, you'd have to check with them individually to see if there are any such plans and where they're at with them, but by default all Android devices are affected. -N
@@surveillancereport thank you very much
So is brave on a Android safe to use VPN?
I'm afraid I don't know the specifics of how Brave works. I would recommend asking them directly. -N
Most likely it's not safe since Brave uses chromium and makes the same call to getaddrinfo
It's on purpose.
What is on purpose?
