See it's all the "little" things that can make learning your instrument a life long journey. Once the language of music "reading" has been learnt then the experimintation/improvisation/development of technique/ discovery of what is within you and what you can bring out in your instrument makes it a pleasure, not a chore 🏴👍😁
An excellent+ presentation... thank you for taking the time to share your expertise. Your philosophy regarding practice time is meaningful well beyond musical instruments. ...and ok as you say you may not be the best, but I honestly don't know anyone better when it comes to playing the harmonica and sharing how they do it. I think my harmonica laughs at me every time I go to practice after listening to you : )
hi filip, I've been following your tips closely! it is really great. I'd like to let a question for the next video: when to use each of the existing Cs? I've noticed that: * C on the -4 with slider fits pretty well with F major scale * C# on the +4 hole seems to fit with the D major scale. Does that makes sense? could you cover the situations where you use one or another? do you mix them in your playing? cheers!
Excellent as always. I would like to hear your comments on Ear Training as it was not part of my formal musical training back in the dark ages. We taught to read the notes and nothing else. Any recommendations for online courses would be great. Keep smiling ☺ RONC
Your previous video on Ear Training was way too advanced for me. I couldn't get the first step. How were you discerning what the interval was between your random and C4? 🙃 RONC
Thank you! One question, please. How do you avoid your lips getting stuck in the mouthpeace? Sometimes, if lips are too dry, I cannot move them freely.
Bel video. Mi piace molto il blues e mi piace molto l’armonica cromatica. Sebbene sia più indicata l’armonica diatonica, posso suonare un buon blues con l’armonica cromatica? Grazie
Thanks Andrea! Yes, the chromatic works for the blues as well. If you have a chromatic in the key of C, you will be able to play the blues in D or Dm pretty easy.

Thanks for producing these very instructive videos. Much appreciated..🎼🎶🎶👍🇨🇦
Another great informative video, Filip. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
thanks for the lesson, joining your teaching site soon
I dare you to post a video playing major sevenths intervals in every key ! (and all of the other intervals)
Ah good idea!!

Max de Aloe recommends The Real Easy Ear Training Book by Roberta Radley and Ear Training For The Contemporary Musician (Hal Leonard).
Very useful video, thank you very much!
Thanks for watching!
Hi Filip, great video! Do you think a beginner should start with a 12 hole or a 16 hole chromatic harmonica?
Hi Behrouz! I would recommend a 12 hole for a beginner. Easier to hold and easier to navigate than a 16 hole.
Very informative video 👌🏻
Glad you liked it
Thank you! One question, please. How do you avoid your lips getting stuck in the mouthpeace? Sometimes, if lips are too dry, I cannot move them freely.
Good question! Try to to have as much harmonica as possible in the mouth so you play on the inside of the lips, not on the lips.
@@FilipJersMusic , thank you very much! I will try that.

Thanks! Was that a SCX-56 or 64 in this video?
Tack! It is a SCX 64.
hello. how do you not hook the mustache on the harmonica?
Keep it to 11 mm and trim the sides. Some models work better than others because of the mouthpiece shape and areas where hair can get stuck.
@@FilipJersMusic Of course, really, it always gives me problems and I have to shave and I can't let my beard grow haha
