ok,,,,but the fin boxes stick up higher than the foam,,,,how do you pull a squeagee right over top of them? i though you do the football patches,,,let dry,, sand them down, then re tape and laminate board?
thats for fcs and if you want them flush u make sure u rout the holes deep enough (trial and error) u can always cut more but you cant add foam when u cut to deep. Before u set the boxes in with resin make sure u have pushes the boxes down with your hands so that the grooves cut into the foam and the box is sitting a little lower than the foam to allow for resin and laminate. With fcs u allow it to sit higher for sanding

when you cut off glass from the top of the box to push out air, are you cutting to the tape? both the layer of glass and the fin support patch?
How long are you waiting after lamination to razor the glass off the top of the finboxes?
What are you using to cut your fiberglass at around 30 seconds?
