This is a great initiative! Hopefully it is utilized sensibly by the public. Also hoping other cities implement something like this too. Especially Chennai, when the roofs are in place to block the sunlight, the breeze in generally good. And Bangalore too, considering this would be a good escape from the logjams.
Telangana has been going forward with many projects whether they get support from the centre or not. This is possible due to industrialization which funds these projects, unlike some other states who depend on centres funds.

This beautiful and futuerestic project with covered conopy rooof mounted solar panels that's generates green electricity, will eventually light up the track but also helps to mitigate pollution as more and more people will use this track. Our government even purchases flight tickets (each around 30,000 ruppes) for Christians and Muslims for free trips to Jerusalem and Mecca. Right now india needs roads, wide roads, metros, etc. Cycling can be a benefit to citys where temp hovers around 25c. Here the tracks are covered with solar panels so it is not only used for cycling but also used for energy creation. I think its a great idea and not at all a direct copy of any european city.
I live right next to these lanes in Nanakaramguda, they’re well connected to Financial district where majority of IT companies are. I hope this allows ppl to chose battery cycles/bikes for regular commute regardless of their occupation.
This is a very good and much needed initiative. Cycle used to be the Indian way but now with lot of vehicles used just for very short trips (less than 10km). 23KM strech with solar panels is a great idea. Hope all states set up 20-30KM stretch for cycling.

Akhilesh built this in whole of lucknow in the early 2010s. It was such a great move. The infrastructure is not maintained, but it still stands and is used by common people, joggers etc
This is truly exceptional. I hope people start using this infrastructure, and realize that clean mobility is the way forward. Hyderabad is not only setting a great example for major metro's in India but a future roadmap for tier 2 & 3 cities. As of now, country like India should also put major focus on bicycle infrastructure in all cities, most importantly "protected" bicycle infrastructure. We have enough resources to implement this, we can also learn from countries like Netherlands, who after the world war became a car dependent country and now bicycle infrastructure has taken over.

You cannot build such dedicated tracks on the existing roads. Hyderabad is a historical city. It has grown by leaps & bounds after the advent of IT industry. The new areas such as the Hitec city, Financial district, Narsingi, Kokapet which are expanding rapidly have wider roads being new layouts. It’s not an attraction but a necessity and has to be encouraged.

It was without solar infrastructure, but anyways was good initiative on part of government.
It's not maintained then what use it is. Solar can be added anytime still they didn't do it.
