When you write binomial names the species always starts with a lower case letter, hybrids start with a capital. It’s shows you straight away if it’s a species or a hybrid.
I wish I could keep that much plant variety around my cats. After one scary (and expensive) close-call, it’s only prayer plants, peperomias and Hoyas for me.

Aw thanks so much Ann! 💚🥰 I usually buy my plants small and grow them out- but in the last 6 months or so plants have definitely been getting easier to buy bigger so I’ve imported a couple of bigger ones (like my Gloriosum Silver and Dark form). It somehow feels like cheating since I’m so used to buying small, haha😂

Aw! My cats are allowed outside during the day when we’re home- so I think they’re just not as interested in the plants inside since they’ve seen so much more outside.
Ooh they are from Soltech and so far they have been working pretty well. The only thing is to watch out for bleaching and make sure you have them at a good distance from the plants bc they can sometimes be too strong if too close, and there’s a hot spot in the middle. Sansi also makes some affordable ones (but the light is cool toned and more diffuse)!

For your ping, you mostly just need to keep the soil damp, and it eats knats and fruit flies. So keeping a top on it isn't ideal unless you are going to fertilize it's leaves with a carnivorous food solution. Also it needs purified or reverse osmosis water only

Hi! I don't have any fungus gnats because I use mosquito dunks! More specifically, I put a quarter of a mosquito dunks in my watering container for at least a day to steep before watering any of my plants with the water. There's a biological enzyme in mosquito dunks that kills all fungus gnats if they eat plants that were watered with it. :)

Are your white cabinets both Ikea cabinets? I know a lot of people have been converting them to greenhouse cabinets; I just haven't seen the clear shelving that you use and feel like it must be way easier to maintain than the wood peg board that you commonly see.
I want to get into indoor plants BUT I am concerned about having cats and plants. Does your cats not mess with the plants? Also, do you get only plants that are not toxic to cats or do you just buy plants?
That’s a loaded question! The short answer is that I have all kinds of plants, including ones that are “toxic” to animals if ingested. My cats fortunately do not eat my plants! I’ll make a video on this soon :)

Haha I’m lucky, they’re just not very interested! They’re allowed outside during the day (when we’re home) so I think they’re just used to seeing tons of plants outside- what’s inside probably pales in comparison😂

Sodoroi looses silver colour with maturity, the bigger the leaves grow, the less silver they are, same with cebu blue plant.

I really have only been dealing with the occasional mealies after switching to 90% PON..
I had thrips on two plants early this summer though... ended up doing a huge chop on those plants.

Absolutely beautiful collection and decor😄 I am not sure if anybody has already asked this, I try to look through all the comments, but what are those anti-mite tags? Are they for fungus gnats and or a pest? I’ve been having a ngnat issue and recently thrips😭 so anything that could help I appreciate. Thank you!

Are your white cabinets both Ikea cabinets? I know a lot of people have been converting them to greenhouse cabinets; I just haven't seen the clear shelving that you use and feel like it must be way easier to maintain than the wood peg board that you commonly see.
Yes they are both Milsbo IKEA Cabinets! It is very easy to maintain. I have a video on my IKEA greenhouse cabinets dropping this Wednesday!

I want to get into indoor plants BUT I am concerned about having cats and plants. Does your cats not mess with the plants? Also, do you get only plants that are not toxic to cats or do you just buy plants?
That’s a loaded question! The short answer is that I have all kinds of plants, including ones that are “toxic” to animals if ingested. My cats fortunately do not eat my plants! I’ll make a video on this soon :)
Ok, I have to know....how do you keep the kitties from climbing or intentionally pushing your plants off the tables, lol? Beautiful space and collection!
Haha I’m lucky, they’re just not very interested! They’re allowed outside during the day (when we’re home) so I think they’re just used to seeing tons of plants outside- what’s inside probably pales in comparison😂
