    The best way to memorize this is to think in music when the tonal mark is ā áǎà the note in the first one stays constant the second one the note slides up, third one slides down and up quickly and the fourth one slides down

    I got them all right at the end! I know 0 Chinese but this lesson made it simple to understand. Probably going to keep watching again to keep practicing tones and write the diagrams in a notebook because they really helped. I'm here because I recently got curious about this language and now I feel like I want to try and learn it. Thank you.

    I'm so happy I found your videos! I have been wondering about the "length" of the tones for a while now. Thank you for clarifying that! Also, I always have a problem with the way I sound when I do the 4th tone. My voice doesn't sound as strong and my pitch doesn't actually sound like it's dropping to the bottom of my vocal range. Is that a problem?

    • @ChineseForUsOfficial
      @ChineseForUsOfficial  7 лет назад +11

      In real life speaking I feel that the 4th Tone doesn't always have a full drop, but practicing it with the full drop helps when we speak in a more relaxed way. Don't worry about getting it perfect right away, listen to native speakers and keep working on your pronunciation, it will only get better and better!

      Me too, If I don't do the 4th tone strong enough, it sounds like I do the 1st tone, and I feel like native speakers also don't always pay attention to clarifying the 1st tone and 4th tone because I hear almost nothing different when they speak.
