The El Camino by Q made its debut at the 2016 Texas Firearms Festival and got rave reviews. And, thanks to our friends at Silencer Shop, we got our hands on one to take out to the range. With our trusty Ruger 10/22 and Walther P22 in hand (two of the most popular .22s on the market) we put it through the paces. Does it live up to the hype? Is it worth it's higher price tag? Watch the video and see... and hear... for yourself!

I strongly recommend Norma tac22 ammo. It is the most reliable ammo for all my suppressed 22s.

The 10/22 also has a steel bolt stop that is most of the noise usually. 1/8 thick bolt with threads and head cut off and 1/4 inch clear I.V. tubing made mine really kick ass

There are plenty of 22 cans that are full auto rated....

Yeah, Sparrow comes to mind. Shorter, but weighs more.

Not many. And nothing I can think of in its weight class.

Waiting for mine to come in so it can go to toy jail. So looking forward to getting it and using it on my various rimfires.

Same here. I purchased it yesterday. How long did you wait for it to get out of jail?

i wish you had shown internals and breakdown... just wondering how much sig copied the design on my srd22x

Sorry about not taking it apart. I wish that they supplied a cutaway model. It's really cool to see the internals.
I'll try and do more internal shots of the baffles next time.
      Thanks for watching!

@@TheBulletPoints not to worry, good vid and was curious... i understand that the two models are similar... on the srd22x, only one end opens up (there are apparently a couple variants of this second version of the sig suppressor: one with copper-colored stainless baffles and the one i received, with stainless polished baffles); some folks seem to complain about stripping or breaking the plastic wrench sig included, and then really complain about the $19 replacement cost, when a simple pin spanner or watch-case wrench works just as well for ~$7

@@willieb6529 Q as one open end, no baffle configuration, and a 1/2” wrench will take the end cap off. No speciality tools needed. I have one. They’re amazing

I have a ton of Q stuff I have the Fix in 308, the mini fix pistol I form 1d to an SBR the HBSD so it has the real Honeybadger silencer, I have the ThunderChicken, the Erector 22, the Erect9r is in ATF jail and so is my El Camino I bought it totally on impulse Q is such a great company there’s no way they’d make a can that isn’t better than any other companies so they’re just competing with themselves the downfall on the Elcamino is it’s not modular, the downfall on the Erector 22 is it’s 22 only you can’t shoot your 17 HMR, 5.7 and nobody can use it on their full auto 22s. So I’m conflicted I want to buy another 22 can but I don’t know which to get the erector or another ElCamino

Diversify a bit. Have you looked at the Rugged or CGS 22 cans? Both companies make excellent suppressors and are rated for more than 22. You might want to look there, rather than buying a duplicate of what you've already got.
Don't get me wrong, Q is badass and their products are top notch, but there are other companies that rival their quality.
      Happy shooting!

Not my experience with the Q El Camino. I picked one up and very disappointed. Loud.
