The potholder is so cute. It would be a great craft for the grandkids when they visit. Watching you crank the old sewing machine made me nostagic for the days when I could just walk up to the tv and just turn one switch on and not have 3 remotes to fiddle with. Thanks!
Thanks Beth thank you for the video. I have made potholders in the past and it was so funny because today I was looking at them saying you know what I think. It's about time I replaced a couple of these. So to say that your video was absolutely perfect timing and yours is so cute. Love it very much. Thanks, Beth.
So relaxing to watch you sew🥰. Pot holder is lovely. You are very resourceful - refreshing to watch your videos. Thank you☺️ (the crank machine is amazing!)
I too should replace my pot holders. Maybe one of these days. I sewed on a treadle machine and once you get the rhythm going, it is fine. But hand crank is more than I want to tackle. Kudoes to you!
I love your potholder. Your sewing machine has such pretty decorations on it. The primarily blue quilt on the wall is beautiful. I enjoy your videos. Thank you.
Your machine is beautiful! The decals are a lot more colorful than most I’ve seen. I have a 1951 Featherweight that I love. Your machine would be great in your trailer, especially if you didn’t have hook-ups.
Great job Beth with this cute potholder. I bet it's a learned skill to only use one hand to hold your fabric while cranking. Love you blue wallhanging too. Do you have a video making it?👏♥️🇦🇺
I didn’t realize you had a wood extension table built-in on that Sewing Machine. That looks so nice. I would love to hear what that machine sounds like sometime. It just didn’t have any trouble going through all those layers and doing the quilting did it? Did you make that very cute little patchwork thing to the right behind your machine? I’m sure you did but I don’t remember seeing a video for it. I also don’t know what to call it. But I have all kinds of 1.5 inch squares and that looks like a great thing to do With them. I find your videos very satisfying. Thank you so much for sharing your sewing room with us.
Another enjoyable video! Thanks for sharing . I was wondering why you placed a little piece of fabric/batting at the beginning and ends of the quilting process? Is it to hold the 2 threads in place and ready to sew?
I absolutely love your videos. I do have a question please. May be a dumb question but I honestly didn’t know if it makes a difference. What side of the insul bright do you sew on? Which side goes up? I’m still learning sorry.
You can sew on that sewing machine anywhere you have light. Many times we don't have enough electricity to run more than two sewing machines (at the Flea Market); so, I have been leaving my electric sewing machine at home (and sewing by hand). A hand crank sewing machine, in use, would draw the attention of passers by and bring them into Janet's quilt fabric booth. Everyone loves antiques. who visit the Flea Market. Do you have any advice about how and where I need to start my shopping for a hand craned old Singer Sewing machine?
Love that machine

I love watching your videos. Your choice of music is very peaceful and you are so creative with your scraps. Thanks for all you offer us.
Spring cleaning.. out with the old and in with the new...so refreshing. Thank you for the inspiration 🙏
Really cute potholder Beth. Lovely. 😊

A lovely idea Beth I will make some for my friends as i have plenty of scraps. Thank you for sharing with us x

Cute potholder made on an equally cute machine.
Sewing is such a joy for me now that I am finally retired. Your video's Beth add to that joy!
Thank you so much
Lovely. I plan to make hot pad for casserole. 😊
Interesting. I am sew grateful that machines have progressed to foot pedal, etc.
I need new pot holders too.
Potholders just never get old. Always useful, always fun. They make great gifts for yourself and others😊
Great job Beth! Boy, that takes some manual dexterity cranking the machine and guiding the material. Another fun project!
I just love your videos! You way of connecting binding strips on the quilt is the easiest and best way. I am so glad I found your channel.
I think everything you sew turns out beautiful.❤️

Just beautiful. I love how you make your pot holders. So simple and still so beautiful.

Lovely as always Beth I bet your arm gets a good workout!

Exactly why I purchased this one. 🙂
Oh my gosh, I love that sewing machine. It is so beautiful.

I do not. 😉
😀
❤❤❤
I love the blue wall hanging with triangles and diamonds behind this sewing machine. Where can I find out more about it and how to make it?
I made this for an art exhibit. It’s very improvisational. Maybe I’ll share about it sometime.
Looks east!!!

Thank you! Don’t know how I missed that one. 😊
👍🏻🙏
Another enjoyable video! Thanks
for sharing . I was wondering why you placed a little piece of fabric/batting at the beginning and ends of the quilting process? Is it to hold the 2 threads in place and ready to sew?
I add the little piece of fabric to avoid pulling out the stitched piece and wasting thread. It's sort of like chain piecing.
I absolutely love your videos. I do have a question please. May be a dumb question but I honestly didn’t know if it makes a difference. What side of the insul bright do you sew on? Which side goes up? I’m still learning sorry.
I don’t think there’s a difference in the sides. Someone else may know more.👍

I bought mine from a shop on Etsy.
If the old ones still work, why not just recover them with fresh fabric?
Aren’t those machines fun?,only thing,an annoying trait is it doesn’t go in reverse..
❤❤❤
