MoMo I hate ig and snapchat. What is the purpose exactly? To show that instead of spending quality time with friends you're gonna take stupid pics and send them to people you don't know? I'm old maybe that's why.
Snapchat, when used as it is proposed to, is really fun to use. As for Instagram....today it is just a smaller Facebook. It lost it main pourpose and now people only use it for the numbers of likes and followers
Caitlin It didn't deserve the number 1 spot. I mean, almost all the other entries didn't even got were MySpace was 10 years ago, they weren't even that big. At least MySpace was as big as facebook for some time. So maybe it failed but not so spectacularly as the other entries.

Harleigh19 exactly but iys because when you think of it teens used my space more and grownups use Facebook more ...now teens only use Snapchat and Instagram
Creative Monkey actually teens used MySpace then adults did it so when Facebook came out the new teens went there but eventually they became adults and other adults started using it so then the next new line of teens went to instagram and snapchat it's not that they becom irrelevant it's just that the people who it's relevant to get older and stay the same while the people it's irrelevant to are young and keep coming
So right! But when Facebook came out, I was 19, we young people in the mountain leave at 15-16, and it was a beautiful way to find all your friends again and to get in touch better with family. I also used netlog, but I couldn't find a lot of them there. What about you? Did you use / are you still using the three of them?
I wouldn't say myspace was a failed social media site. I liked the old school myspace so much more than facebook. I miss how you used to design your own page and put different songs on your page. I miss the old school myspace,
That's probably the reason MySpace lost out to Facebook. Whenever you go on to someone's myspace page, it was usually dark, very loud, and way too many photos of chicks in bikinis. That network was for teens. Facebook won out cause it was cleaner and appealed to everyone.
They LITERALLY said that it was king for four years, until Facebook took over. Now, Myspace is trying too hard and nobody ever uses it. Jeez, watch the fucking video.
Which is why *their own words* are contradictory to the title, "Top 10 Social Media Platforms That Failed Spectacularly." At no point was Myspace nearly as bad as any of the other entries that barely got off the ground.

Facebook is as common as Google or RUclips it's the most popular way to connect with our friends and family in terms of social media and I don't think it's going to die out for a long time. It's been consistent for 10 years now
But... RUclips Red isn't a social network. It's RUclips but just ad free and paid.. Nothing social about it. Also comes with Google Play Music for 10 bucks so it's better than Spotify imo.
When you use AdBlock you aren't supporting creators which hurts everyone. YT red is a compromise where RUclips pays a portion of your monthly fee to each channel you watch based on frequency. If you use AdBlock they don't get anything, and effectively, is kinda stealing. Ads suck, but I'd recommend you at least disable it for channels you like.
@@bangkokinc.4233 Come on you could be all "technical" when we all know there is a big difference between individual youtube channels like watchmojo and plaforms like myspace and all.Carrots and oranges

Fuck Google for forcing G+ down our throats. We used to have the convenience of reading notifications on RUclips alone. Now we have to open another tab to some dipshit social website they are so desperate on making big like Facebook just to read those notifications.

If MySpace woulda stayed the same ppl woulda came back. Facebook only got popular because of the exclusivity. And now everyone is on there and it's too damn interactive. Can't do shit on there without the entire timeline knowing. Who needs to know I changed my profile picture!
Myspace might have feld, but it was the first to really kick of the social media boom. Musicians got their start there. RUclips was great before plus. The bright yellow subscribe button, backgrounds on your profiles and the recommendation videos actually worked well. Now today....it's still good I guess but bad changes have come to it

I really feel bad for Hi5 and MySpace, i still remember when those 2 were huge! But then Farmville destroyed both xD Btw, you forgot about MSN Messenger
The old Myspace is what a lot of people miss. You used to be able to choose a layout on Myspace. People had a Top list for favorite friends; you used to be able to add a music playlist. You could put RUclips and Myspace videos on your profile. The problem with Myspace now is that it's not appealing to people. The changes to the social media site is not what people like. If they were to bring back the old Myspace, it would be destroying FB in the number users and more people would be interacting with people. FB have the most users because everyone know what everyone is doing because they post on their timeline for everyone to read.
