I am so happy you mentioned the BrailleDoodle! My husband ordered me one during this kickstarter, and I can't wait to get it! I am going to have fun figuring out shapes and things, and he's going to have fun drawing me simple maps of places that he's described. And I gotta admit, the possibility of using it as a giant whiteboard/slate is so intriguing.
Thanks for mentioning the BrailleDoodle. I’ve been helping Daniel with some of the promotion, and really look forward to its release. Matthew, Chief Experience Officer.
Hi Carrie. I have a question. I know that you use a lot of radio displays and you seem to love them a lot. I was curious which kind of radio display would you recommend for someone who wants to learn braille, and would be something that you could use going forward without having to purchase another braille device?? Thank you so much and I am so excited about all of these new technology devices that you have mentioned here I love technology just like you
Maybe I can help, I’ve been using braille displays for most of my life. First if you live in the United States check with your state library for the blind, most states lend out braille displays now. If you want to buy one the Orbits are your cheapest option for now but HIMS, Humanware and Vespero all make decent displays.
Hi Steven! Great question. However, I don't actuallly have a braille display. I would not want to recommend a device that I don't know much about. I'm sorry. :(
I think they definitely are doing both! A lot of them medical research that's being done is just not as common or a popular topic for people to talk about.
@@carrieonaccessibility Yes you are right they are researching you know why there not researching on eye disease treatment if they will research on treatment then no one will buy their technologies product
Also! Yes they are. I've talked a lot about virtual volunteer in other videos so I thought I would wait for the second episode for all the software. :-) I wanted to share more about devices for this one. But thank you! I'll definitely keep that in mind! :-)

Hi Jane! That's great! I haven't had the chance to try one out, but I think it would be really cool! Let me know how you get on once you get yours. 🙂
