Two Glass Otis Hydraulic Elevators at the Municipal Garage in Huntington, WV

(July 2021) These are some really cool vintage glass Otis elevators at the Municipal Parking Garage in downtown Huntington, WV. We arrived at this garage right as a severe thunderstorm was hitting, so we decided to ride the elevators! These elevators appear to have been installed in the 1970s and they are still original!

Those balls were tougher than steel or iron that particular day in Huntington, especially with a hydraulic elevator in which if the motor rooms on the bottom floor and it floods, it's game over for you

Gosh! Could you imagine if a storm knocked out the power WHILE an elevator was being used?! That is why I never use elevators during a storm even if it's only mild.

I love this era Otis hydro with the "bouncy sounding" door hardware. These might actually need windshield wipers though.

Amazing and Epic! I love Lexan! Are these still original as of mid March 2023? Epic motor and Epic relays too! I assume these are bottom drive?
