To the homeless gentleman; I am sorry to say your experience is not unique. When I was living in a shelter, I went to the ER for a bladder infection. I did not want any pain pills, I wanted antibiotics. The doctor barely spoke to me and walked off. I had to let a nurse know that I needed antibiotics to kill the infection before it spread to my kidneys and then my bloodstream, becoming sepsis. I flat-out told her that pain pills would be worthless to me. That doctor's refusal to listen to me could have cost me my life as sepsis is fatal if not treated. I am glad you finally got the treatment you needed.

To the "homeless drug seeker": I know just how you feel. They treated me the same way when it happened to me! I knew I had an upper respiratory infection but not how bad. They accused me of being a drug seeker. I told them at no time did I ask for anything C2. I had an infection and thought I might need an antibiotic. They felt like shit when examined me and diagnosed PNEUMONIA! They must have felt pretty bad about themselves because they gave me a cocktail of antibiotics and morphine. They KNEW HOW BAD IT WAS!

To the story involving the doctor, their license should be revoked. They took a hypocritical oath to help people, not judge them, and they went a broke that oath until OP was beyond pissed.

😂 It's the Hippocratic Oath. To be hypocritical means you're being a hypocrite, aka judging somebody for something you do yourself.

@@jfezatte517 The fact that horrormoviefan doesn't know the difference is proof that our "educashun" system is the worst in the world. I look all over RUclips and there are so many people who cannot type or even spell a four letter word. Sad. I'm grateful that I graduated from school before it turned into a political dump.

The story about the homeless man. I am a social worker that has worked with unhoused individuals for about 18 years. I am sadden to say that this treatment is not uncommon. It is a shame on our society that we do not have the compassion to work with a population of humans who have needs that we do not meet.
