Sperrin Outdoors me too mate, this is more like reheating though as apart from the onions everything is already cooked and canned 😉 Thanks for watching mate hope you get some of this sunny warm weather makes a lovely change from the rain! Take care Roo
Prepared Camping sometimes handy can be just as good when i go on hiking expeditions handy all the way . Bushcrafting for the weekend i experiment cook lol
Look forward to seeing how the ale comes out and what the final name is, in a few months is it? Thanks for watching and commenting mate! 👍 All the best Roo
To znám, že se v obchodě dá koupit jídlo, ale je potřeba se ještě naučit číst, abys věděl co kupuješ 😂 a nebo se raději zeptat prodavače ať ti poradí 😛
Not sure if you did this but add onion, then two tablespoons of water, stir aggressively. Then you do NOT need to add oil to the pot. Great meal and vegan if you skip the ground cow :-) If it is an emergency and going on for ages consider whacking in a lot of white rice to these ingredients to make 5lbs of food. Corn beef and SPAM are great standbys especially for the fat content
I fried a couple of chopped onions at the beginning in rapeseed oil which I like for the buttery taste but you could just as easily par boil with water as you say mate Jöran Jaderberg suggested quorn as a beef substitute, sorry I didn't even consider a vegan version! You can puts all sorts in a one pot wonder 😉 Thanks for watching and commenting buddy really appreciate it! All the best Roo
Awesome. While I do push vegan there is a point in an emergency to knowing how to cook sand meat and dairy. Quorn is not vegan I think? Don't have it in North America. TVP is okay for long term storage but not a great product to eat.
Awesome video Roo, I could smell it cooking all the way to the states. I really like how you repurposed that TIC-TAC container to hold your chili flakes. I bet you could rubber band 5 or 6 of those containers together with different spices in each one and they would not take up a lot of room. Thank you for the idea.
Mazakman precisely mate 👍 there are two sizes of tic tac boxes here in the UK this is one of the smaller ones but my wife has a collection of them with various flavourings! Thank you for watching buddy really appreciate it hope you have a great weekend! Take care mate Roo
More like reheating my wife is the cook in our house she loves food and cooking! Thanks for watching and the kind comment 👍 All the best from the UK Roo
Nice one Roo. I love a bit of corned beef hash, probably my 2nd favourite behind chilli con carne. I must admit though I have never seen it done with beans before. Ah well, each to their own I suppose. Thanks for sharing. Atb Shaun
I love baked beans, even when making chilli I'll add baked beans as well as red kidney beans! If I was leaving the beans out here I'd probably crack some eggs over the top for some more protein and hopefully a runny yolk! Thanks for watching and commenting buddy really appreciate it! All the best Roo
Thanks for watching Adam and commenting really appreciate it! Loads of different ways to make a hash another good one is to leave out the beans and add crispy bacon and poached eggs with lovely runny yolk! Take care mate Roo
I just wanna point out that since I can see this is the aluminium version this actually is the m/44, the m/40 is the version that is stainless steel. Cool video though!
What kind of can opener are you using? Looks like you are punching a series of holes in can lid. Do you need to push the opener the other way to make better cut?
Best thing about these sort of one pot meals is you can put whatever you have in Thanks for watching let me know what you think when you do! Take care Roo
Gaziano Outdoors bit of a squeeze in the single mess kit but I liked it, thanks for watching brother really appreciate it hope you have a great weekend! Take care Roo

That's fine mate most corned beef hash recipes don't have the beans or chilli flakes If I was going to leave the beans out I'd crack a couple of eggs on top Thanks for watching and commenting buddy really appreciate it! All the best Roo
Sorry David I did this more to show what the M40 cookset was and how it worked together When using canned food it's basically just heating up not cooking per se, I'm hoping you're a good cook with your surname! 👍 And I certainly don't claim to be any sort of culinary expert! Thanks for the feedback I'll try to have a better view what's going on in future And thank you for watching I appreciate it, take care Roo
I get that, most of the time we eat fresh vegetables But I keep a store of canned food for emergencies and to maximise shelf life I eat some and replace it occasionally Hope you have a great weekend, all the best Roo
