During Festivals there is always rush. Have the authorities provided parking place to vehicles. Why not during peak tourist season keep the gates of the ground open for temporary parking ?
Not only DB road, footpaths on any road in Panjim are not free for pedestrians. On even 18th June road, many drive two wheelers on the footpath, even though pedestrians are on it. Next to Hotel Solmar, the entire footpath and storm drain too is used for parking of food deliverers' 2 wheelers as Subway, Biryani by kilo, Wow Momos, Getaway Desserts etc... are housed in the next building. Pedestrians and tourists are forced to use the road, as the entire footpath is blocked. Incidentally, we senior citizens of the area had requested for a bus stop at Solmar, which was granted through Councillor Surendra Furtado. In the Smart City brouhaha, the spot has now become what is described herein... Does anyone really care??? 😮
How big should be a foot path i mean in breadth wise? And is it should be off the ground level? These are the questions like to know from the government offices
