Those aren't the same thing. A garbage disposal is installed in the drain of your sink, to cut up peelings and other food waste. A trash compactor does just that--it smashes your other garbage into a compact square.
It is interesting that he bought the material in China and had a CBS tailor create the vest. Also interesting that he called it a Westcott instead of vest. I had to look that up. I guess Westcott was the term for vest that was used in the UK. He can't blame Dayton Anderson or the Rubin Brothers for this one.
@@pencils812 What he said was "waistcoat" (with a faux posh British accent). Waistcoat is indeed the English word for what we in the US usually call a vest.

It was sorta a chain of events. Time slot change, adding the wheel, changing the set, Richard leaving. No real surprise it only lasted one more year on a major network before kinda getting by through syndication for another 3 years.

I'm getting tired of hearing about Communist China. I did my best to ignore Gene's ignorance of what should have been ignored, but he's going way too far.
American flags, baseballs , Maga gear, and etc are all made in China along many other things u love are made in communist China, we could thank pure American Ronald Reagan for the outsourcing to china!
I ALSO thought of "Ricky Nelson"!! 🎵🎶
She looses with him again YAAAAAAAY
Gene's outfit fits more a nighttime show.
Took me twelve years to see Star Wars and I’ve only seen the first one.
I'll confess I still haven't seen it and my life is bumping along just fine.
Vicki said it to Gene (19:25) and she was correct.
Here in the Northeast we call a trash compactor a garbage disposal, I wonder if the "judges " would match me
both exist, two different machines, disposal grinds it and it goes down drain, compactor has to be emptied and you can put many more items in it

@@dorinriki yes I've already been schooled on that, but thank you

Gave a Star Wars joke to a guy who looks a bit like Lando Calrissian.
LOL I thought Lando too
Yes.
Gene looks like he could sing with The Temptations.
😂
Lol

Weird that so many contestants hadn't seen Star Wars in 1978
In 2020, I’ve not seen Star Wars.
Perhaps because back in these days people still worked for a living and didn't waste time and money on such garbage
@@alexandraashland2981 Me either
2023 I still haven't seen and it's not on my bucket list.

Gene explained it was CBS was doing 50th Anniversary related stuff all over the studio...
In another episode, McLean Stevenson thought Gene looked like a Las Vegas undertaker with this vest on.
It must have been later, because this is the first time he wore it since the recent trip to China.
Richard’s last pre-Wheel Head to Head win!
crissrudd4554 I think the wheel, along with the morning time change from the afternoon truly killed the show!

Figures.... Dick Martin saves the ladies hide with "drunk fly" and she still picks Richard for the final question.
Well he gave her Ricky Nelson
There goes Gene bragging about his China trip again. I don't think anyone really cared.
frankly, I`m tired of hearing about his trip to china. I`m surprised he did`nt bring back a picture of him with chairman Mao
If I had gone to China I would talk about it also wouldn't you?
It was unusual back then especially to be gone as long as the Rayburns. I'd want to talk about it when I returned.

Brett's Encino motel come-ons got old really fast. Very bad taste, since Gene was married.
Seems in the recent episodes she had not mentioned it as much.
