Hey Helen! My favorite book last year was “Where the crawdads sing”, I dare to say it was one of the best books I ever read! Right now I’m reading “The giver of stars” by Jojo Moyes and its definitely growing on me 😊
The book I’ve been telling everyone to read is Can’t Even by Anne Helen Petersen. It’s a societal look into burnout, not a self-help book on burnout. It’s fascinating to know why things are like the way they are, and that’s the first step toward societal change.
That sounds super interesting! Society definitely needs a lot of changes and the first step is to learn about things so I will definitely look into this!
I just got done reading Devil at my heels and it was amazing! A story about a WWII veteran and what he went through being a POW and the aftermath. It is a bit religious at the end, but not to heavy.
some book recs: *the seven husbands of evelyn hugo by taylor jenkins reid *sisters of the winter wood by rena rossner *spinning silver by naomi novik *the winternight trilogy by katherine arden *a pocketful of crows by Joanne m harris *daisy jones and the six by taylor jenkins reid (audiobook only) *jane, unlimited by kristin cashore
I'm currently reading Our Darkest Night by Jennifer Robson (She's Canadian too). It's a historical fiction novel about Italian Jews during the WWII era. She had to pose as a wife of a Catholic farmer so she can be safe.. It's pretty good. I'm about halfway :)
What you write every day is what you're planning to do or what you’ve already done, like a journal? Also, I recommend ‘q’ by luther blissett - historical fiction. Part of a series. Amazing!
I know we are only 2 months into 2021 but I am already thinking that I should get a hobonichi cousin for 2022. I am finding so much inspiration with Helen's PWMs.
Just finished listening to “Miss Graham’s Cold War Cookbook” and quite enjoyed it! If you are also into more action oriented books, the Ava Lee series by Ian Hamilton is a very quick read and well written.
Have you ever read about Charlotte Princess of Belgium, Empress of Mexico??? She had quite a life, sad... but interesting. Try “Maximilian and Carlota” it’s a good read!!
Have you read "the shadow of the wind"? It is definitely one of my favorite books and I highly recommend it. And despite reading this book with beginning and end, there are 3 more books that follow the story, reading all of them is just fantastic! I love watching your plan with me videos! Have an amazing week!! Love you!
I recommend that you read Candice by Voltaire. It’s an historical fiction and a classic. I hear you about the group assignments lol you need a lot of patience.
Thank you so much for another awesome plan with me video Helen!! Your layout is always so inspiring and your writing is just wow :) I am so glad to see my stickers in your planner T.T You really make my day!! Regarding books recommendations, please consider books from Haruki Murakami, especially Kafka on the Shore!
💕🌷💕Hi Helen🤗I was wondering where did you get the plastic dividers or plastic pockets from you’re video: College Planner Setup (ft. Foxyfix traveler`s notebooks) They are so clear and nice🤗And when I visit foxyfix I get erro on the page. Are they closed? Do you know? I hope you had a great week and that you are doing good. Love the way you plan💗Be safe Helen💕🌷💕
I love this week's pwm! (i feel like i say that every week lol) I hope you do well on your research paper and your midterm❤ Also, I can't take naps either! I can only nap if I'm sick 😌 I thought it was weird because my friends took 2 hour naps every day and i didn't haha!
I'm currently reading Beloved by toni Morrison and I did search of like top 20 books to read and Beloved was on the list. I only read two chapters and I'm not quite getting what's going on but I'm gonna keep pushing through only because I don't like to start books and not finish them
Just curious since I am trying to learn to use my hobonichi better, isn't this weekly spread redundant if you write to dos and journal in the daily spreads?
Hey! I firstly like to rewrite my to-do lists since it makes me remember stuff better. But mostly, while I do use both the weekly and daily sections, I focus on one or the other on a given week. If it is a week where I have general things to do, I devote more time to planning my weekly spread and just jot down notes in the daily section. If it's a week where I have lots of little things going on each day, I plan in detail for the dailies and do an overview on the weeklies!
"Never Let Me Go" by Kazuo Ishiguro. It's very melancholy and the ending made me want to fling the book across the room in anger, probably because the ending was so sad and it caught me by surprise. Still worth the read.
Hi Helen! I love how your spread came out! I have a question, do you have any ballpoint pen recommendations? I noticed gel pens smear easily on the hobonichi planners
This turned out so good!! I had to lol about your comment about doing to research for you team because you like control-I was the same way in college! I would rather do it and know it's done correctly than expect someone else to do it 🤪 And let's be honest I'm still like that lol!! Control freaks UNITE!! 👏🏻 Have a great rest of your Sunday! 💕
How do you manage to keep this looking so neat using those pens?! I love them but they just cause a smeared mess for me even when I think I've been careful and given it time to dry!
I am so in love with the way your planner looks! It is always so beautiful. Your handwriting is also so pretty! Which pen are you using? It writes so nice!
I found you recently, and I love watching your videos, I know I comment on an older video, but I was wondering, how many planner do you have? I feel like it is nearly always a different one 😅 is it just for the videos to show how you could plan or do you really use all and and just decide every video which one you show?
@@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo ah, okay. i‘m always fascinated how much some people have to plan. Like I guess the hobonichi cousin planner would probably be enough for me - I feel quite overwhelmed when I see planner that have pages for weekly AND daily planning. If I had more than one planner and someone tells me I need to use them all - I would probably just copy paste and try to improve the aesthetics? If that makes sense? Anyways I find your planning style quite aesthetic, it always seems to fit perfectly and I never thought oh no that would be better in my eyes if done differently or something. Omg rn I feel like my english is bad, I hope you get what I mean. Also I find your voice very calming!
A dentist recommended "Guns..." to me years ago, and I have it but haven't read it yet. I guess this would be a good time to read it...let us know how it is without any spoilers. 😉
Does anybody else find her voice so calming!
Ahh thank you Alisha!
@@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo your one of the reasons why i plan my day and get so many things done thank you!
Oh I agree! Sometimes at night if I can't sleep I'll binge watch Helen's videos and fall right to sleep.
that’s why I love watching her
Yes!!
I am OBSESSED with your handwriting! I think that's the main reason I watch your videos. just watching your handwriting is so calming!
Thank you so much!!
Historical fiction is something you like read the Outlander series. I don't normally like books like that but I became obsessed with it.
Your spreads always look so nice and neat. I love it!!!

Thank you for the recommendation Desiree!!!!
This is making me want to purchase a hobonichi planner
My mom calls "no sleep naps" like that "resting her eyes" lol xD
That's a weird coincidence, my mom calls them the same thing! :)
Love this spread ❤
Thank you so much Anita!!!
It looks so neeeaaaat! ❤️❤️❤️
Check out White Chrysanthemum by Mary Lynn Bracht. It's about a haenyo (Korean diving women) during WW2. Excellent book, I really enjoyed it.
