Just love watching Chris useing his excavator , like it is an extension of his hand. Smooth movements and great profiling technic. A must watch. As he says a quick job that sees a result in a day gives you a real appreciation of the talent and knowledge involved.
I agree David this art with a 60.000 pound plus excavator . The movement of that Volvo 160 with Chris at the controls is smooth like poetry in motion & with Chris staying busy on different projects looks like betty is missing out on all the fun .
@@dannyscott1159 Scott it's a volvo 160 lol it doesn't weigh 60,000lbs considering my cat d6 dozer which is considerably larger only weighs 49,567lbs 😆😆😆 the 160 operating weight is 36,000 274lbs 😉
I was hoping for a good Chris and Uncle John pond build today. There's something fascinating about Chris taking a mess and turning it into almost art. I've no doubt that the land owner was extremely pleased once he walked down and got a good look at his fishin' hole.
I got to binge watch, as I have been sicker for a few days with the cancer. It was fun to watch more dirt falling off of root stumps. Thank you letsdig18, for all your hard work.
All my life until I got sick all my adult life I should say, until I got sick I did Property Maintenance which was 95% Landscaping, stamp Crete patios, dry lay rock walls with Fieldstone you name it. I absolutely loved it because of the instant gratification that you're talking about why you love these small jobs cuz you can come in in one day and look at the difference and be totally surprised at how much better it looks! That's one thing I love about Landscaping, a couple raised flower beds here some mulch edged in around all the trees nice Mulch and the flower beds, a nice stone wall around the house, you know I just I got what you're saying I guess that's why I said this
I am amazed by the delicacy of stone or rock distribution with the Volvo . Chris, you have amazing skills with that equipment. Thanks for sharing this quick video. Hopefully at some future time when the pond refills you could post a short clip showing before and after images with a bit of drone video too. Stay safe out there, peace brother
I like how you take the time to make sure the rock is spread just so, the edges are clean and crisp and tamping the rock in to place to secure it. Your planning and prep work are evident through out the project. Before and after are as day and night. Thank heaven for air conditioning. Thanks for the ride along sir.
Another outstanding job, Chris an John. Looks first place in rock sculpture design. Rock quarry must appreciate John an you as on of their biggest customers.
Great job Chris. When it’s time can you take us back to that pond that was a muddy mess for 2 weeks. Would be fun to see what it looks like all finished. 🌳🪵🦉🦆
These folks have about the prettiest small pond I've seen on Chris's channel. I really like the rock banks and the fact the pond seems to be free of mud. I'd like to see it when its full Nice work Christopher.
I've been watching Chris going back to the days when he did not say much. In all that time, I've seen him get into some really tough spots and step up to some frustrating challenges. He just about always says something is 'aggravating' and rarely ever swears. But the wind and heat got to him today and he sounded like me when I'm working on my truck. 🙂 Of course, he still did another work of art with the excavator and the finished job was something he could be proud of. Keep 'em coming Chris, we love watching you work!
A beautiful fix on that pond. Has to be a great feeling to have the power at your fingertips and the knowledge to re-sculpture that pond in a day's work. Appreciated and thanks for the video.
The skill you have is incredible. The way you were able to roll that bucket over to make a berm is like the excavator is an extension of your arm and hand. Thanks for the great video
Appreciate the walk arounds when done. Many folks, be it RUclipsr's or History channel type stuff always focus on the work and when it's done you get 3 seconds of the finished project on video.
Hi from uk Chris 👋 👍 excellent job this in and out in a day and look at the difference total magic man and your touch was necessary I think at least with you you create a path for water on flow duty also brakes to slow it down inevitably slowing down erosion process and making it look awesome at same time 👌 and uncle John is good tipper controller to no rocks in water from 20 ft bed lol kids got skills I know lol hope everything OK in farm with Winston and elvis and rest of the crew to 👍 thanks for your time be safe and see you soon 👍 👋
I just want everyone to know that , Chris is what you would like to think of as the Yoda of the machinery world , who always has some sage advice to share with everyone . Love your blogs, I’m glad now I can continue with watching Chris at work on what can only be said to be a relatively small project , compared to the Bealy Good 5acre dam project.
I myself operate heavy equipment and I love watching Chris your always learning new and easier ways to do different things. I'm 37 and started at 10 years old with my father and it's in my blood. I also love building ponds so watching Chris and seeing all the beautiful ponds he's transformed and built from nothing is a must. It's surprising that corner didn't wash more than it did with all that sand......
That’s some pretty rock work. That pond looks 1000% better than it did when you started. I like that you throw a few odd jobs into the mix when you are working on a big job like the Bealy Good pond. I enjoy all of your videos but it breaks up the monotony of basically seeing the same thing several days in a row.
I really enjoy when Chris does neat stuff while working. The lone rock off the fabric. Picks it up, places it over a foot. Never slows down. That's why we're here!
There are operators and then there is Chris time and time again he shows his skill with machines and especially his skills with a excavator he operates its like its its an extension to his hands , fast smooth accurate and above all with care and safety , what a cracking job sir i take my hat off to you
Reminds me of a pond we used for irrigating tobacco back in the 1960's and 1970's in Woodsdale, North Carolina. Mayo Lake now covers much of this land.
Appreciate the skills to grade the bank flat and spread the stone in a uniform layer without being wasteful cuz, as Uncle John says, "Rocks don't grow on trees!" Thanks for the videos. 😉
Another great one-day job and a nice solution to the erosion problem…sure is a LOT of sand to deal with. Felt your angst with the wind/cloth issue, arrrggg!!
Yep, you get to hot & it'll ruin yer whole day. I could tell you was instant pissed when the geo-tex went kite'ing🤣and rightly so, the heat just adds insult to injury. That's some good Gabion rock, it sounded like glass when you was dribbling it out, our local junk almost splats, less you get D.O.T. stone at 30 bucks a ton and you had lots of tons there. Nice work!👍🏼
Always loved the one day jobs. Move in evening or early morning. Put a good day in and move out come evening. A week of one day jobs was as good as a vacation. Be aware of the heat index and drink plenty of water. On to the next!
not very often does Chris almost lose his composure. Giant sandbox nice change of pace from never ending stumps, mud. mud, sand or clay Chris as usual created a sweet pond/hardscape
That’s master level bank slickin right there! This is one for the brochure when you’re showing customers what can be done in one day by people who know what they’re doing.
Like you said, nice to have a quick and easy repair and finishing it up,makes instant gratification for you.no matter what job you do .you did change the whole look.don’t know what looked before but now definitely nice.kudos 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Sand isn’t good for fish beds. Sure, you see them use it when nothing better is available, but it can suffocate the eggs if it gets disturbed. Pea gravel is ideal to add to help with spawning success. I do enjoy watching you do your thing with all those machines. Fun stuff to watch.👍
You definitely do excellent work, I love watching you pick up large rocks and in the next move you pick up a fragile object with deft control so as not to break it in two, years of experience, kudos to you.
The control Chris has over that bucket is amazing. I’d bet he even butters his morning toast with it! And stirs his coffee! ☕️
Just love watching Chris useing his excavator , like it is an extension of his hand. Smooth movements and great profiling technic. A must watch. As he says a quick job that sees a result in a day gives you a real appreciation of the talent and knowledge involved.
Couldn’t agree more!
I agree David this art with a 60.000 pound plus excavator . The movement of that Volvo 160 with Chris at the controls is smooth like poetry in motion & with Chris staying busy on different projects looks like betty is missing out on all the fun .
Yeah, not sure if he became part of the machine or if the machine becomes part of him.
@@dannyscott1159 Scott it's a volvo 160 lol it doesn't weigh 60,000lbs considering my cat d6 dozer which is considerably larger only weighs 49,567lbs 😆😆😆 the 160 operating weight is 36,000 274lbs 😉
One thing I know for a fact whoever hires Chris gets the best work in the country it's done right he's one hands down pro
I was hoping for a good Chris and Uncle John pond build today.

So would I

It sure is refreshing to watch a guy in action that takes pride in his work! Nicely done!
The before and after shots really tell the story of great workmanship

Once again, the Pond Master doing what he does best - and a great fix it is.
I've been watching Chris going back to the days when he did not say much. In all that time, I've seen him get into some really tough spots and step up to some frustrating challenges. The jobs that can be done in one day are really nice. Even though I didn’t grow up in the instant gratification generation, it’s occasionally nice.
Crispest slope with rocks ever. Nicely done, as usual, Chris.
I love the way you roll that bucket on that soil creating that perfect angle
A beautiful fix on that pond. Has to be a great feeling to have the power at your fingertips and the knowledge to re-sculpture that pond in a day's work. Appreciated and thanks for the video.

Love the sound of the rocks tumbling over each other.
What an amazing transformation, as usual. Great job.

Neat job. Hot, humid and windy days make work miserable. Always makes those successful one day projects worthwhile.
What a transformation! nicely done. Nice little job.
For such a "small" project, it was still pretty major and yes.... very gratifying to see the finished product. Fantastic job!
The edge of the rock bed looks like you put down the stones by hand. Amazing!
Another outstanding job in the books! Thanks for sharing Chris!
Chris! You never disappoint. I'm always amazed at the quality of your work.
As always, looks amazing! So much pride in what you do.
It always looks 1000% better Chris. They lucky to have you !!
Looks brilliant Chris. A total transformation
Little pond pretty and beautiful again. Thanks again Chris.

Such a Beautiful Transformation Chris!! I find it so relaxing to watch you so smoothly and carefully move the earth!! They must be very happy!! 😊
Good to see you playing in the sand today! Agree, the one day projects are instant gratification!! And, you don’t have to shovel the tracks out much!!
Very well done!!! Very efficient team! Loved the video, thank u so much. God's blessings and stay safe.
Looking good, as usual. Doesn't matter the machine, you make it sing. This was a fun one.

So much better Chris, you do really neat rock work as well😊 Take care & cheers 🐨🦘🥰

The pond master. It will be looking great afterwards nice Chris.
Man that's alot of ro k, turned out awesome, great work Chris, thanks for sharing 💪🇺🇲
Man, I would have loved 2-3 trucks of that sand for a project here. Very nice - your experience with pond rescues really shows.
Couldn’t wait to get off work to watch another great video!!! An awesome project at the end 🙌🏼
Enjoy your daily pond repair job and have a good evening.
Chris this one would be nice to see when it has filled back up. Another masterpiece with the Riprap. 👏👍
Chris another great video, the finished product looks amazing! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Hey Chris I sympathize with you with you in this heat and humidity. The older I get the less I can handle it. Great job on the pond though.
As I have said before Chris the earth sculpture artist , Picasso of the earth !!! The rock always looks great , Love it !
Another great one-day job and a nice solution to the erosion problem…sure is a LOT of sand to deal with. Felt your angst with the wind/cloth issue, arrrggg!!
The bucket finesse starting at 8:15 was my favorite. Smooooooth.
I am always impressed with how smooth you operate ! Jobs like this really shows how well you can control your machine.👊

Watching you has helped me run my baby 60g. Going to modify my thumb so it is set up like yours!

That turned out pretty decent ,from a mess to ideal finish..well done thanks for the video..
Hi Chris, it turned out really nice. Work to be proud of that's for sure.
Ed from Chicago 🙂
Looking like it’s going to be the summer of pond fixing and building 👍👍👍👍
Very nice looking job , Chris . Pride in work always shows .
That fabric blowing up almost turned this into a PG-13 video LOL!😁 Great job Chris. ✌🏼🇺🇸
Rescuer Chris is on the way and fix the desaster! 🧑🔧
Good ole bread & butter work. In & out in one day! NICE! 👌👌👌
Nice work Chris.. 🙂👍🇮🇪

Nice you and john working to make it nice again got a lot of rock to put down
I have to admit I do like the John jobs this year 😉. Another excellent video.
Thanks for sharing your time
