Skullcandy Crusher Evo has 10x more bass than the Sony WH-1000 XM5. I have both headphones, and when listening to them, the Skullcandy has more bass, and i mean ALOT OF BASS ! It almost sounds like if i was inside a car and the speaker is shaking the car or im in front of a speaker inside a rave. You could always turn down the bass if its too much. On the other hand, the Sony XM5 was a disappointment. It barely has any bass even with the clear bass eq on max. Only good thing about with sony is the noise canceling thats it they sound just as good as avergae pair of headphones. So if your looking for headphones with bass and actual bass you could hear and feel, please please get the Skullcandy Crusher Evo you will love them i promise you !!

I have both the xm5 and crusher evo and you're right. The XM5 is too quiet imo and not enough bass
the way the guy speaks about these sounds more like hes reading a review or description rather than having worn/experienced them for himself as well. makes me question the authenticity of these choices.
Yup anyone or website that has the xm5 on a list for best bass can not be taken seriously. Talking out there ass just to talk or paid to say it. I returned them after 1 day.

skullcandy sucks i just returned a pair of those they are strictly for the younger generation sound quality is very poor and that app is not available for any of my devices

I currently have the Sony MX5 and the Beat Pro, I also have Soundcore, for the money Soundcore can't be beat, however for cleanest bass, as much as I hate to say it cuz I'm not a giant apple fan the Beat Pro even tho owned by Apple now is superior for clean bass. The MX5 overall sound quality is very nice, but on good bass tracks when the bass hits the speakers sound "blown" if you're a bass head that rocked big amp'd woofers in your ride you know the sound. It just wasn't clean. Now, If you're looking for absolute clearest overall I'd maybe give it to the MX5, maybe. But for me clarity and clean bass the newest Beats Pro beats it.
I think the video was labeled incorrectly. It seems like the creator was trying to showcase the sound quality rather than just the bass. If the focus was solely on bass, then Skullcandy would have been the top choice for sure. Even though the bass is powerful, the sound quality of the headphones is still very good. Surprisingly, even with the bass slider turned all the way up, the music is not ruined. So, if you're a fan of bass heavy headphones Skullcandy is definitely the best.

I've had the Crusher Evos for a few years now. Never failed me, still have all original cables. Bass is amazing, but they do not get loud enough for me. My bluetooth Skullcandy Rails get louder than these, but the bass feels like your ears are right next to a subwoofer. I'm looking for their equal in bass but louder overall. Any suggestions? I really like the Evos bass but I want louder.
