    Sir in many questions the iterative scheme is that of modified Newton's method, and not the Newton Raphson.
    So, shouldn't theyhave order of convergence 2?

      Until word "Modified Newton method" not mention in the statement, you can't use it... So always consider newton Raphson method... Thats why

    If root is close to zero, we can take e^x^2 as x^2 , I think.
