The only caveat is that it's not at the detriment of others. Aggregating, organizing, and socializing people IS the controlling mechanism. KRSchannel - Learn Astrology Interesting; I was called a double-Scorpio (AS and Moon) Magha Nakshatra by a vedic astrologer. I looked it up and discovered i have many of the characteristics of the Magha, down to the beauty mark on my right thumb. And I though I was going crazy when I felt like Venus was communicating with me. Turns out I have Mercury and Venus conjunct in the 12th house, so things are beginning to add up. Hello KRS, I know I'm late to the party being that it's now 2019, but this was a brilliant interview with Santos! I have been dabbling in astrology for a few years and this presentation made things much more clear, it was the ah ha moment for me! I have always found Santos to be a genius, even though it may take a little time for the things he says to sink in. Thanks for this presentation! BTW I wanted to add here that had I heard this in 2016 about us living on a flat plane, I would have blown this off to crazy talk, but now after several years of research and my own background in the sciences I look at things in a whole new way, ie not crazy at all!,. This video is amazing, I have two questions though, the natural astrological pattern seems to only apply to the Temperate zones of the earth, what about those born in the Tropics where Spring is hotter than Summer and it's basically Summer all year round, or those born in the Frigid zones where it's basically Winter all year round? And the second question is what is better to use in tropical astrology in regards to the houses? The equal system or the original system?

Thanks for this, KRS. I've always just found, at least since I discovered it, Vedic to me more accurate than Western. Vedic also to me seems to have more dark, and more realistic interpretations too. The fact that Western/Tropical doesn't account for the precession of the Equinox seems to be a good argument to me, but Ill see what this man has to say..
The reason Srila Veda-Vyasa described earth as a flat in Bhagavat, is that it would take much more time and chapters to explain astronomy in detail (wich is not the focus of His Bhagavat book) as he also give the seven up lines and seven lows as was explained in this video. Explaining earth as flat he explained more easyly about the 14 planetary systems to us, but if we study others vedic text wich focus on astronomy its clear the earth is a globe as Richard Thompson, a vedic scientist, astronomer and mathematician teacher in many Universities have prooved in many ways.
Sun as a plate, with its planets moves around another point. That movement shifts, and measured using Pole star like Dhurva nakshatra. That shift is the precession or Ayanamsa for a year. This is how "The Start of Aries" is calculated in Vedic Astrology (Sidereal), making it fixed zodiac.

Dang, I was born at 9:28am in the 11th house and I'm an Aries (via Tropical) If my mom would have waited just 32 more mins I'd be Aries in the 10th house. Tropical astrology theory works if you only assume there is a northern hemisphere. Does 0 deg Aries begin March 21st though it is Autumnal Equinox below the equator? No
This does not make sense to me: he says that the sideral system regards the "higher" bodies (above the astral), while the tropical system is more related to the physical body...how can that be? Sideral system uses the same exact houses as tropical, and the first house for example is related to the physical body... I still can't understand the difference between the two...

Not true. According to Tropical, my Moon is in the 6th house, and my Saturn is in the 4th. According to Sidereal, my Moon is in the 7th, and Saturn is in the 3rd. So the houses differ, too.

wow i wrote alot more than that and i honestly don't feel like typing it all again lol but basically I'm saying that whichever one you feel more relevance to that is the more accurate for you because only you know yourself the best and whatever energies you resonate with the most, I, however, feel like both my charts work coincidentally together because i am awakened to how it all plays in everything about me and my life situations, i basically see it has my Vedic chart is what accurately backs up my western/tropical chart if you look at the degrees and cusps so you can see how your different from other people with similar placements by counting the degrees of those energy placements/ zodiac signs..

I know some astrologers find it not that important, I find it quite incoherent (different ayanamsas, general characteristics, etc.) The example about the planet being always in the same house whether it's sidereal or tropic is just plain wrong.
Totally agree with this. I never understand how astrologers say "it doesn't matter, you get the same reading from either zodiac". That's like saying ascendant sign doesn't matter then. Same reading for an Aquarius or Pisces rising? Same reading for someone with lagna lord in 8th conjunct ketu in one zodiac, but then using another they have lagna lord exalted in 10th conjunct 5th lord. Night and Day difference. Plus dasha changes.. someone may be in the main dasha of the most malefic planet for the ascendant in one zodiac, but in another it's a benefic or yogakaraka dasha. ...but 'don't worry, the reading will show the same results' according to astrologers that refuse to just admit there cannot be two correct zodiacs for giving readings!

A Western astrologer (which I used to be from age 12 until my introduction to Vedic -- which, by the way, I fought bitterly at first!!) Outer space is measured by relation of heaven and earth. The Sun is the king of all the planets, in the center of everything, keeping everything together. It moves to the north, crosses the equator, and moves to the south. When it goes north of the equator days get longer. When it crosses the equator days and nights are equal. When it goes south of the equator days get shorter. On this basis the Sun moves through the twelve divisions called Capricorn and so forth. The Sun is at Aries and Libra when the days and nights are equal. Passing through Taurus, etc. the days become longer and then decrease until again equal with the night. Passing through Scorpio, etc. the night becomes longer and then decrease to again become equal with the days. Now think little bit why in june on solstice is day longer than night? Because earth is tilted 23 degrees. So when Sun is on northern spot closest to the 23 degrees tilt it mean on north hemisphere is day longer and on south shortest. It is nothing difficult to understand. You can very easily measure it. Find out time of the sun rising and sunset makes difference and calculate like this whole year. You will always have 21 june as the longest day in north hemisphere. By looking at the time you can measure signs because you have stated when the sun is in different equator how it makes difference for a daytime. Put 30 degree and you have 12 signs. Very simple. With sidereal what you want to do ? You want to check at the constellation ? Let me tell you something - compare aries and pisces. Aries are two time smaller than pisces. Therefore lets say fast moving planet like a moon will go faster through the aries. We dont even know where is the starting point, so how you want to make zodiac from something what have different shapes and through planet will go faster/slower. I am specially picking moon, because moon dont retrograde. So by the movement of the moon you can divide everything by 27 which will create nakshatras. You can also check this very easily. Use your eyes or astrological program and you will find out lets say that Purva Phalguni (said to be in leo constellation) can last 26 hours while ashwini (aries) will last only 22. Therefore to calculate something really correctly you have to make tropical zodiac with sidereal nakshatras. Now why everywhere in India it is about sidereal? Well imagine that you dont have computer, Kali yuga so your brain is actually a lot smaller than in previous yugas, and you want to make tropical zodiac/sidereal nakshatra. To make nakshatra is question of one lunar month of watching the sky, to make it with sun it is question of measuring days for whole year. Therefore a lot easier thing to do is to measure sun and put that place where is sign of 30 degrees on the sky and give it to some star constellation. Thats why leo is leo. Not because leo is in leo, but because before when someone wanted his life easier was leo directly there. We are not moving so fast that you need to correct it constantly to make good predictions so it is okay. Problem is if in few years later no one will correct it or forget to correct it. In this way people see planet in leo constellation and think that oh this is leo but actually it is only constellation and sign is completely different. And that is not because sun is moving slower, or tilt changed, that is because constellations are moving which is scientific fact. Simple example june solstice is in 21 june but if you use sidereal calculation Sun will be in Gemini. He should be by the way in cancer.

Well, I have to disagree on the house systems being the same. I was born 30 mins after the sunrise, in tropical system my sun is in 12th house however, in sidereal it is placed in the first..Thus all the other planets are also in different houses. In Vedic astrology the house system seems to depend on the sign of the ascendent not the beginning of the asc.
Vedic/ tropical astrology doesn't effect the houses, house system is separate from zodiac. Whole sign equal house methods are different but vedic can use either.

Problem with Indian astrologers is that they cannot explain where the sidereal zodiac has its zero point. Therefore there is no correct position of the planets within the zodiac. Thus the validity of the sidereal zodiac is seriously challenged. There are dozens of different ayanamsas, but no system can really say where the zero point is. For sxample, Tina Turner, fiery personality, in tropical zodiac she has Lion rising and Mercury in Sagittarius. What makes sense. In sidereal zodiac she has all planets in element water and earth. So this just doesn't make any sense.
Could it mean that if you want to see through sidereal astrology the moon chart will give u the most accurate answers while if u want to know the ascendant that u synchronize with look it up in tropical astrology?

Hello KRS, I know I'm late to the party being that it's now 2019, but this was a brilliant interview with Santos! I have been dabbling in astrology for a few years and this presentation made things much more clear, it was the ah ha moment for me! I have always found Santos to be a genius, even though it may take a little time for the things he says to sink in. Thanks for this presentation! BTW I wanted to add here that had I heard this in 2016 about us living on a flat plane, I would have blown this off to crazy talk, but now after several years of research and my own background in the sciences I look at things in a whole new way, ie not crazy at all!,. This video is amazing, I have two questions though, the natural astrological pattern seems to only apply to the Temperate zones of the earth, what about those born in the Tropics where Spring is hotter than Summer and it's basically Summer all year round, or those born in the Frigid zones where it's basically Winter all year round? Thanks for this, KRS. I've always just found, at least since I discovered it, Vedic to me more accurate than Western. Vedic also to me seems to have more dark, and more realistic interpretations too. The fact that Western/Tropical doesn't account for the precession of the Equinox seems to be a good argument to me, but Ill see what this man has to say..

The reason Srila Veda-Vyasa described earth as a flat in Bhagavat, is that it would take much more time and chapters to explain astronomy in detail (wich is not the focus of His Bhagavat book) as he also give the seven up lines and seven lows as was explained in this video. Explaining earth as flat he explained more easyly about the 14 planetary systems to us, but if we study others vedic text wich focus on astronomy its clear the earth is a globe as Richard Thompson, a vedic scientist, astronomer and mathematician teacher in many Universities have prooved in many ways.

Sun as a plate, with its planets moves around another point. That movement shifts, and measured using Pole star like Dhurva nakshatra.
That shift is the precession or Ayanamsa for a year. This is how "The Start of Aries" is calculated in Vedic Astrology (Sidereal), making it fixed zodiac.

Tropical astrology theory works if you only assume there is a northern hemisphere. Does 0 deg Aries begin March 21st though it is Autumnal Equinox below the equator? No
This does not make sense to me: he says that the sideral system regards the "higher" bodies (above the astral), while the tropical system is more related to the physical body...how can that be? Sideral system uses the same exact houses as tropical, and the first house for example is related to the physical body... I still can't understand the difference between the two...

Not true. According to Tropical, my Moon is in the 6th house, and my Saturn is in the 4th. According to Sidereal, my Moon is in the 7th, and Saturn is in the 3rd. So the houses differ, too.

wow i wrote alot more than that and i honestly don't feel like typing it all again lol but basically I'm saying that whichever one you feel more relevance to that is the more accurate for you because only you know yourself the best and whatever energies you resonate with the most, I, however, feel like both my charts work coincidentally together because i am awakened to how it all plays in everything about me and my life situations, i basically see it has my Vedic chart is what accurately backs up my western/tropical chart if you look at the degrees and cusps so you can see how your different from other people with similar placements by counting the degrees of those energy placements/ zodiac signs..

An assumption that it'll all be fine and dandy if we only agree that both zodiacs are correct just does not convince me at all. I know some astrologers find it not that important, I find it quite incoherent (different ayanamsas, general characteristics, etc.) The example about the planet being always in the same house whether it's sidereal or tropic is just plain wrong.
Totally agree with this. I never understand how astrologers say "it doesn't matter, you get the same reading from either zodiac".
That's like saying ascendant sign doesn't matter then. Same reading for an Aquarius or Pisces rising? Same reading for someone with lagna lord in 8th conjunct ketu in one zodiac, but then using another they have lagna lord exalted in 10th conjunct 5th lord. Night and Day difference. Plus dasha changes.. someone may be in the main dasha of the most malefic planet for the ascendant in one zodiac, but in another it's a benefic or yogakaraka dasha. ...but 'don't worry, the reading will show the same results' according to astrologers that refuse to just admit there cannot be two correct zodiacs for giving readings!
Precisely! Vedic and Sidereal go together. If you want to use the Tropical system, call yourself what you are! A Western astrologer (which I used to be from age 12 until my introduction to Vedic -- which, by the way, I fought bitterly at first!!) Me to my friend who introduced me to Vedic: "But I'll lose my Exalted Mars in Capricorn...." My friend lowered his head, looked at me sternly, and said, "There is NOTHING "Earth" about you."

Whatever it was Supposed to mean, don't do it, is my advice. My argument is, look at the sky. If we say we believe that the Planets are influencing us, do we not want to know what Constellation they are passing through as shown by a telescope right now, today??
Outer space is measured by relation of heaven and earth. The Sun is the king of all the planets, in the center of everything, keeping everything together. It moves to the north, crosses the equator, and moves to the south. When it goes north of the equator days get longer. When it crosses the equator days and nights are equal. When it goes south of the equator days get shorter. On this basis the Sun moves through the twelve divisions called Capricorn and so forth. The Sun is at Aries and Libra when the days and nights are equal. Passing through Taurus, etc. the days become longer and then decrease until again equal with the night. Passing through Scorpio, etc. the night becomes longer and then decrease to again become equal with the days.
Now think little bit why in june on solstice is day longer than night? Because earth is tilted 23 degrees. So when Sun is on northern spot closest to the 23 degrees tilt it mean on north hemisphere is day longer and on south shortest. It is nothing difficult to understand. You can very easily measure it. Find out time of the sun rising and sunset makes difference and calculate like this whole year. You will always have 21 june as the longest day in north hemisphere. By looking at the time you can measure signs because you have stated when the sun is in different equator how it makes difference for a daytime. Put 30 degree and you have 12 signs. Very simple. With sidereal what you want to do ? You want to check at the constellation ? Let me tell you something - compare aries and pisces. Aries are two time smaller than pisces. Therefore lets say fast moving planet like a moon will go faster through the aries. We dont even know where is the starting point, so how you want to make zodiac from something what have different shapes and through planet will go faster/slower. I am specially picking moon, because moon dont retrograde. So by the movement of the moon you can divide everything by 27 which will create nakshatras. You can also check this very easily. Use your eyes or astrological program and you will find out lets say that Purva Phalguni (said to be in leo constellation) can last 26 hours while ashwini (aries) will last only 22. Therefore to calculate something really correctly you have to make tropical zodiac with sidereal nakshatras.
Now why everywhere in India it is about sidereal? Well imagine that you dont have computer, Kali yuga so your brain is actually a lot smaller than in previous yugas, and you want to make tropical zodiac/sidereal nakshatra. To make nakshatra is question of one lunar month of watching the sky, to make it with sun it is question of measuring days for whole year. Therefore a lot easier thing to do is to measure sun and put that place where is sign of 30 degrees on the sky and give it to some star constellation. Thats why leo is leo. Not because leo is in leo, but because before when someone wanted his life easier was leo directly there. We are not moving so fast that you need to correct it constantly to make good predictions so it is okay. Problem is if in few years later no one will correct it or forget to correct it. In this way people see planet in leo constellation and think that oh this is leo but actually it is only constellation and sign is completely different. And that is not because sun is moving slower, or tilt changed, that is because constellations are moving which is scientific fact. Simple example june solstice is in 21 june but if you use sidereal calculation Sun will be in Gemini. He should be by the way in cancer.

Well, I have to disagree on the house systems being the same. I was born 30 mins after the sunrise, in tropical system my sun is in 12th house however, in sidereal it is placed in the first..Thus all the other planets are also in different houses. In Vedic astrology the house system seems to depend on the sign of the ascendent not the beginning of the asc.
Vedic/ tropical astrology doesn't effect the houses, house system is separate from zodiac. Whole sign equal house methods are different but vedic can use either.
If we live on a flat and motionless plane where the stars and wandering stars circle around us every year in a designed pattern (f.e. the lotus flower pattern from venus) we can start to better understand the power of astrology and energy. When we observe that polaris (or the north star) has not moved in thousands of years, it contradicts the illusion of us being on a flying spaceball. Problem with Indian astrologers is that they cannot explain where the sidereal zodiac has its zero point. Therefore there is no correct position of the planets within the zodiac. Thus the validity of the sidereal zodiac is seriously challenged. There are dozens of different ayanamsas, but no system can really say where the zero point is. For sxample, Tina Turner, fiery personality, in tropical zodiac she has Lion rising and Mercury in Sagittarius. What makes sense. In sidereal zodiac she has all planets in element water and earth. So this just doesn't make any sense.
