Hi Laura and Ben, thanks for another great video. Laura, when using blotting paper in the cloth sleeve, if the blotting paper ends up with mold do you need to throw the cloth sleeve away too or do you give it a good wash in, say vinegar and then rinse well and reuse the cloth? Keen to see the following video about how long you can leave the prints in the damp pack. Have had some issues with this. Will ask more questions when the video comes along. You'll probably answer questions I have without me asking now. Thanks again to you all, cheers Simone
Hello Laura, love your videos! I am just learning relief printing. Does one use a damp pack for only woodblock and not Lino printing? Or could it also depend on the inks and paper you use?
I haven't tried the newspaper damp-pack but will give it a go as blotting paper proved tricky as stated. My main concern is newsprint. In my mind there is a risk of it marking the paper or do the inks used to print newspapers these days not lift?
Hello ! Just a heads up...I have had no luck playing your last three vlogs on You Tube on Apple TV. The commercials play fine before your video posts but not I can play it on my Apple iPhone but not through AirPlay on my TV. All other You Tube Videos work fine-yours and other bloggers I follow. Have you changed anything lately that might be causing this? Just wondering? I was happy to know I can at least watch your presentations on my tiny screen on my phone.
Thanks for the video Laura. keep safe and stay well.
For any other fellow Boswellians, I signed up to the Awagami site and was given a generous discount on my first order. Enjoy Swaledale!
Good stuff!

Hi, just give the cloth a good wash - I rinse mine in a weak bleach solution and then put them through the washing machine and dry thoroughly.

I only use damp paper for Japanese woodblock, but i will have to print my lino block onto it while damp too - not something I’d normally do!

Please watch the previous video for all the info on avoiding ink transfer
@@LauraBoswellPrintmaker thanks. I'll do that
I'm confused, the previous video (episode 15) discusses Awagami paper. What is the title of the video in question please?
Sorry it is the video about preparing a damp pack ep 16
@@LauraBoswellPrintmaker Thanks Laura, that is the video this comment relates to. I'll watch it again then as I must have missed that bit. Sorry.

Thanks for letting me know, Ben’s going to check it out as he doesn’t think he’s changed anything, but may have. 🙁
