This was a very strange story, finding out that your father-in-law pretends to give your baby to his daughter to care for while you still have your own baby with you. It turns out that he himself cheated and a baby came out and pretended that sat was his son's baby. But in the end it all came true and he will have to accept the consequences.
I've read different versions of this story before but not as confusing as the daughter divorceing the father in law

It happened to me. My youngest divorced me when my husband and I divorced in 1993. Then my Mother said the Divorce was my fault and she divorced me. Later, she found out it wasn't true, but it was too late. True story

Well, you have to help these stories along. I thought it was strange at first but figured it out pretty quick.

This entire story makes no sense. In reality, the mother and SIL would have likely gotten cursed out so badly they’d be curled in the fetal position, sucking their thumbs, and that would be followed by NC.
Not exactly, not every family is the same, I would have also did what OP did and try to get to the truth.
