I am not a biology student, but this helped me understand the process of mRNA and it gave me a better understanding. I am in IT and know only the basics of biology, but I have to say (even) with this limited knowledge I understand it completely. For me Cell Biology looks like very sophisticated software and the programming is at a level ....... that no human-made software has ever reached. Amazing, makes me want to study this even more! Inverted repeats are formed by converting the initial sequence to its complement and then reverse the complement base order. So for example an inverse repeat of TTAGC where the complement will be AATCG and the reverse of it is GCTAA. Hence GCTAA is the inverse repeat of TTAGC
