Ive been on 2 without package and spent more than the package would have cost and I was drinking cheap beers and even getting buckets to get a little more savings. I always get the package now. Just six $10 drinks breaks you even (not including the non alcoholic stuff) and then Im drinking better drinks instead of restricting to cheap beer everytime. Also, if you dont like a drink you got you can just leave it and get another without hesitation because it is already paid. I also like the idea of if you're not going to hit the limit to grab some drinks and put them in your fridge for the next day, might try that next time because there's usually a day or 2 Ill be short the 15 then the next day Im cut off and would like a few more. Maybe, order the fridge drinks with no ice then add ice the next day when you're ready, or unopened beer.
I just came back from Celebration ship and I drank Patron Gold included in the drink package. I also got Sparkling water and celsius at the bar, together with the drink!

I'll be sailing on the Carnival Glory in Sept on a 7 day, out of New Orleans. I bought the Cheers package recently, $495. My liquor preference tends to be vodka. I'm not a heavy drinker (alcohol wise), so I can't see coming close to the 15 drink daily max. Any suggestions on what alcohol based drinks to possibly get, that would do a good job of eating up the $70/day expenditure? aka the "biggest bang for the buck"..per drink.
totally agree with the thought of paying for it ahead of time and not having to think twice about whether theres enough in the budget to cover. im not a big drinker either but between my 1 or 2 lattes a day and other stuff i get plus the peace of mind of not stressing over the bill that makes the package more than worth it - excellent vid guys!
Slight flaw in your math i think and you actually "saved" a lot more! Had you purchased the drinks 1 at a time for the first day the drink price is $161 but you would also have had to pay an additional 18% gratuity. The drink package includes gratuity. So the daily price of your drinks plus the 18% gratuity they charge if you buy the drinks 1 at a time puts you at about $1,331 if you had bought them 1 at a time. The drink package was only about $976 with gratuity included. You actually saved closer to $355.
We found that IF we bought Cheers, then we got our moneys worth in the end bc we made a point to drink a lot. If we don’t buy it, then we end up saving money in the end. Basically we drink more than normal to capitalize on the plan. I need to spend WAY more than the $50/day to make it feel like a deal for me since I’m not normally a heavy drinker. It’s like an all or nothing for us.

Not only “2 free drinks a day” but not having to worry about the hassle of continuing having to put more money in ur sail n sign card. Also if u were getting top shelf liquor it wouldve been more without the package rather then everytime u order a drink with the package u get the best of the best with no worries.

Are able to order a drink and just take it with you? For example if I want to go lay out by the pool? Or does it have to be consumed at the bar where I ordered from?
You can order your drink and walk away. My cousins and I enjoyed sitting at one of the poolside bars to consume some drinks because we enjoyed the bartenders. But you can go anywhere on the ship after ordering your drink.
Do you have to tip additional on the cheers package or is it included on the daily price. I have the cheers package coming up on next cruise and don’t want to short anyone on tips if required. Thanks.
Hi Heidi thanks so much for watching :D Nope, all of the tip is already included so you can just put a line through the additional tip section and sign at the bottom! such a nice stress free feeling to do that and not worry about calculating tip or factoring in budge. I will say though that a few of the bartenders we really enjoyed and kept coming back to over and over again, we would give another $1-2 dollars additional tip just because but it is absolutely not expected by the bartenders.

Oh wow I didn't know that! So when I was onboard they said they could give me a shot but there is a waiting period before I can order another drink. And they will not give you an extra shot or "floater" in your drink, but one of the bartenders did anyway haha.
Bottled water and Perriers can add up for us. We also enjoy sparkling and red wines that really add up. Last cruise on RC, we focused on scuba certification so we drank very little. Our upcoming Carnival cruise, we purchased Cheers. Well done video!

Drinks are normal price for the dmv if not cheaper. I have a problem so I'm sure i would meet the 15. Gotta start early its a vacation
