BEES ARE IMPORTANT. The 'keepers' are the root-cause of their demise.
Here is the full video that explain that alll :

Yeah she's about to blow up and wasn't chosen at random; Joe's show can really jumpstart media attention and get the saturation started, and this woman deserves it. I like seeing more educational interests doing the rounds, and a great influence for young girls to see this intelligent, successful and beautiful woman go out and educate.
They are not important. This country had no European honey bees for thousands of years and plants still got pollinated by native bees and insects.
Doesn't hurt that she's attractive
I love this young woman, she has a soothing voice, she is quiet, and the bees appear to know she means no harm to them.
Thank you for having her on. I am a 2nd year beekeeper here in California and I love people that have been doing this longer than I have. It gives me the information that I need to be successful in beekeeping.
I worked for a magazine and interviewed a bee keeper, still to this day one of my favorite interviews. Bees are soooooo fascinating. I came away from that interview with an entirely new appreciation (and all fear removed) for bees. Bees are the best.
What an awesome comment Elliot!!😊
I interviewed an actual bee, I didn't find him fascinating at all, in fact he was quite rude and didn't say a word the entire interview...
@@Refulgent_Rascalas a lawyer I’ve taken a bee as a client. Little guy actually tried to sue America for honey theft and bee exploitation and we actually won. Was enough money that the next 10 generations of my family will be financially worry free. Last I heard he got a human gf.
I'm a third generation master beekeeper and she is the most accurate on beekeeper knowledge I've seen in a long time
This needs more likes
Masterbeetior?
Also a 3rd generation beekeeper myself and she has roughly the same knowledge of my 10 year old daughter and going on 8 year old son. We should quit praising people as geniuses just because they're pretty and/or popular. This is 15 minutes of readings worth of knowledge. She couldn't actually answer most of Joe's questions.
@@jwcarlson Why are you being so negative? There is absolutely nothing to complain about here. You’re coming across as a bit of an arrogant prick tbh.
@@raimesey how so? By pointing out that she isn't particularly knowledgeable? She's great at staging "bee rescue" videos, but doesn't know much about bees and is not what any beekeeper or entomologist would consider an expert. I'm sorry if that's hard to hear. Would be like Joe having dead Queen Elizabeth on to talk UFC. UFC discussion would be worthless, but would be something to look at.
This is one of the most amazing podcast I've listened to. I've learned so most about Bee's. What a treasure. thanks Joe and Erika.
I love watching her videos of saving our honey bees. All people need to understand how important they are.
She is fantastic guest. My dad was a professional beekeeper for about 30 years. I've grown up around them and have kept my own hives for years. It is absolutely true what she says about it being mediative while working with bees. The experience is wonderful. Loved this episode. 🐝
My dad also Jennifer, good on you for keeping it going.
as a beekeeper I can confirm.
I like how she says "When *we* need more male bees, etc." like she's a member of the hive, hehe.
@@DanielVita at this point yea
I love this woman, how can you watch her and not fall love with her, not only is her passion for the bees truly inspiring and fascinatingly informative but she’s also a bombshell!! Beauty and brains lol and her voice! “another day of saving the bees” it’s like ASMR almost. Am I alone on this one??
Nope I was thinking the same thing
I'm with you... & Perfect AMSR voice was my first thought too! :D
All I could think about for the whole podcast was that I hope one day I can find a wife as amazing as this woman
You guys need to touch some grass
Do you sit discussing how attractive the male guests are? Cant we just be here to appreciate her work and knowledge why does it always have to be about womens looks its fucking tiring. Dont suppose you have daughters eh...
This lady is truly amazing, her knowledge on the topic is truly amazing. Furthermore, she is doing such an important job in creating awareness, rolling up her sleeves (literally) saving them, and getting the job done. Hats off Queen Erika, we need more of you.
I used to sleep to classical music but now I sleep to this lady's voice 👍🏾😂♥️
She was so good in explaining everything to the point … so informative and perfect volume and tone.. not a boring moment in this clip. I wanna hear more from her.
Her voice is extremely soothing in her shorts. It’s also very cool how the bees interact with her.

As a beekeeper here in the British Isles this is the kind of interview I’ve longed for from Joe. Without bees we really wouldn’t have made it this far as a species. We have so much to thank them for.
I really like that you are a beekeeper because you are sustaining human- and other life as well, abilities. Due to the work you do. But why do americans always begin with ' As a ... myself, i understand what is talked about in this clip' this is not a bee attacking you, just an European trying to get a grip on Americans making everything about themselves. I'm sure you're not, but a lot of your folk do, what is that?
@@DanielMaart I'm American and I've been wondering the same exact thing. It's become an inside joke with a friend. I have a screenshot where 3 comments in a row had "as a gatekeeper,..." And all 3 were different subjects of the video at hand. No offense to you beekeeper, keep saving the planet
@@DanielMaart As a US citizen myself (lol), OP said they keep bees in The British Isles. I'm not a geography scientist, but I don't think that's part of "America". Also, OP mentioning that they are a beekeeper was relevant to the video and gives their appreciation that much more weight. Finally, I read Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas when I was a kid and always think of his lawyer starting everything with "As your lawyer..."
Cheers from Florida, Europe! May we all find good cheer in the coming year.
BEES and MUSHROOMS have help to mould humanity into who we are as a species.
ut of curioisty, is it true that 4G and 5G will kill them off?
I love her and her videos! Because of the awareness she provides, I save every bee I can and there's been a number! Keep it up JRE and Erika.
I love watching Erika at work with the Bees, because of her I have a better understanding of Bees...so fascinating!
Her voice is so relaxing when she talks about the bees in her IG page.
"Another day of saving the bees."
it's fucking annoying ANOTHER DAY OF SAVING THE BEEEEEES in the most roboticly monotonal voice possible
Awesome episode ! Erika is completely captivating in her articulation, demeanor and knowledge ! The bees have an amazing ambassador in her !

Thank you Erika for taking care of the bees and educating us. Truly a special guest on JRE 🐝
agreed. 10000% right!
One of my neighbors is a beekeeper. He gets so excited when people in the neighborhood take care of their gardens because it gives the bees some pollen.
perfect. +92
Yep I agree she’s pretty hot!
Honestly educating people on things simple as this, can really change kids an make them want to learn. This needs to be taught in school more an be stuck in peoples brains. We take for granted so many things, especially how hard of workers bees an ants are
Anything ive learned about bees were never simple.
So right, this does belong in a classroom along with gardening, farming, home economics, and botany.
My first mad passion as a child was insects. Unfortunately, school did nothing to encourage me-quite the contrary. I was bored stiff & always preferred to be outside observing the nature around me, especially insects. At 82, I still love them but don't know much about them.
I’ve never been so fascinated in my life about these creatures. I can honestly say that I am more conscious and gentle when I experience one these days.
Her entire explanation is simply PERFECT. Not a single mistake. She knows!
Anyone else in love with her voice and how she talks?
In another part of the podcast Jamie helped zoom in on a video as she's making a point and turns around and says 'thank you' in the nicest sweetest way possible.

It shows just how good Joe is at his job. The variety of the guests he has on and being able to hold a conversation on their topics for over two hours is pretty amazing.
Listened to the entire episode. This lady is supremely wholesome. I would leap at the chance to have my kids spend a couple hours with her out at a hive, learning about bees and seeing her enthusiasm.
I know Joe can't do this kind of thing every episode, but I sure hope he makes it a point to do it regularly.

Erika, you did a great job with explaining how a bee hive works.
You make us Beekeepers proud 👏
Beekeeping has a big learning curve. It takes years to get a grip on it.
It’s so beautiful when you hear someone talk about an area that they know so well, and they are so inquisitive about it, it’s so clear when they love what they do. It’s just so incredible to me, not many people are able to do their dream job . But, it’s beautiful when you see this happen.
This one was one of my favorites in a while. Very educational. Erika is very passionate about what she does, and she is very sweet. Joe asking great questions. Very delighted with this one.
the level of inquisitiveness that Joe has for the intricate details within the animal kingdom is equally admirable and hilarious
