When I first saw the video, I thought that his prayer was familiar, and sure enough, it's from the LSB. I had no idea that Rev. Roemke was LCMS though.
I have never been more grateful that the Almighty has led me into the confessional Lutheran Church of God. Well done, all. And, I pray God DOES give him the greatest blessing, all for the common weal.
I saw this prayer happen in real time. I was amazed at the clear Christian character of the prayer at a political event. I thought... maybe this guy is LCMS Lutheran... turns out... YES!!! Thanks you Pastor Roemke!
I hope that as a result of pastor Roemke's faithful witness that some people come to our churches. It's not very often a Lutheran pastor gets the opportunity to speak about Christ to millions of people
@@misswinnie4.8 that's great! I'd also try to sit down with the pastor and ask him any theological questions that you might have. I love asking questions of my pastors and always surprised at how good their answers are
You should give your audience a little background, if you haven't, about what Boenke did in 2001, as a lot of people don't realize what the history and Church error happened back then. I have just found out that the Boenke prayer should not have happened in 2001, and why, also the blow back in the church after his prayer.
I thought the prayer was entirely appropriate. We seem to have many LCMS pastors who have adopted the WELS position on fellowship. Church fellowship is centered around the preaching of the Word and the administration of the sacraments. The RNC is not a worship service. Pastors should be allowed to witness and pray in any secular setting.
What a wonderful thing to talk to the guy and clearing things up. This reminds me of a question that I have. You may already have talked about this elsewhere. I want to vote for Trump not because I think he is a great guy. I really really don't like him. I don't believe Trump is a Christian (just like I don't think Biden is a Christian). I only want to vote for him because I want to put a break on all this wokeness. In general I am conservative politically. My basic question is: Can I in good conscience vote for Trump? I know you are a pastor and it isn't your job to tell me how to vote. But, can you say something about how a Christian can approach a question like this? When the two candidates are essentially terrible (you may disagree and that is fine), what do we do? What do we look for?
Maybe think of it this way..we are hiring a “principal” for our “company”. We need someone that will deal effectively with other company principals, uphold the ethics of our company and provide leadership. Do you think President Trump has done/will do those things? I believe he has. He has protected religious faith like no other during my life time. So many other things, but hopefully this might help you. We are not electing a pastor, but a president. Keep that in mind.
My understanding is God ordained government to help mankind. What help? Well, I believe the main function of government (if done His way) is to restrain evil. It is not to spread the gospel, that is our "job" as believers. So, if we have two or three terrible or ten terrible choices, well, at least God has given us the opportunity to select someone that will do the better job of restraining evil. And it is a privilege in this country from God. Millions, yea billions now in our time and in the whole of human history have had NO voice in making that selection. So, can you at least not waste that God given privilege and make a choice based on who you think will do the best job at restraining evil? (and I mean evil as clearly defined in the Bible not what is "politically" the definition or defined by the talking heads in our culture.) If you can do that, your conscience should be clear, and I think God would honor that... PS I thought the pastor was Catholic, too. Relieved he was not even though I am not Lutheran, but Baptist. I think he was hilarious and was nothing wrong with it. I am not expecting ANY politician to save our nation, that is something only God can do. But maybe we can all do something to stem the evil tide that has risen to a frenetic level, IMO, by voting for "whoever" will do the best job at restraining evil...
Dear Reverend, I very much enjoyed this content, but I do have a healthy pushback, and I would love for you to answer me to offer some clarification. At minute mark 15:55, Your guest says that the Gospel was proclaimed. Can you please explain to me where the Gospel was proclaimed in his prayer? Looking at things in a way that is to be rightly divided, where was the law, pronounced rendering men guilty and where was the news of Christ being the only balm and remedy remedy for lawbreakers freely offered? I pray that you would think about this comment, as I believe there will be quite a lot of agreements amongst us as we meditate upon this reality. I am still questioning as to whether or not it was an appropriate usage of his authority, regardless of how well intended he may have been. Blessings, thank you.
What a great interview!
Thank you.
WELS Lutheran applauding Pastor Roemke for his EXCELLENT prayer. Loved the Trump impersonation too! Well done, brother.
President Trump now knows we LCMS pastors also have a sense of humor. 😉
Very true.
Pastor Christopher Thoma from Michigan has prayed at his events in that state
Rev Roemke was brilliant and he lifted the countenance of our favorite President & his family. Thank you!
He really was.

Yeppers.
I love that men. He is so bold in the Gospel! Thanks for the interview pastor Tyrel.
My pleasure.

I pray God blessed him too, for the same reason.

Also LCMS is getting bad rap due to radical ELCA. ✝️🙏🇺🇸
@@NicolasGoerz i have never visited a Lutheran congregation but I'm now interested.

So glad to get the full explanation from the one who was there. Thank you Pastor for helping to clear this up.
My pleasure to help. Rev. Roemke is such a faithful pastor.
What a great interview! Thanks for sharing
I would like to see how many visitors show up at his church because of the controversy.
It was a harmless joke. If people are upset about then they really need to get a life.
The joke wasn’t what people were bothered by.

A parallel with the LCMS pastor involved with the inter-faith worship service that Pres. Obama “preached” at after the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting.
Good idea.

Have you checked into Kennedys interview with Dr Phil? I like his topics!

Pick the one who is most likely to do the most good, for the most people.
This is a great question for the next episode of Truth at All Costs. :D
@@TyrelBramwell Thank you so much. As usual I will look forward to this.
Note to Pastor Roemke: You didn't mock President Trump. You poked some gentle fun at him and he enjoyed it!
