- We have been overwhelmed (in a great way) by all of the excitement and questions about the upcoming Hawken inspired kit. Jim thought it would be a good time to go live and answer questions about this (or anything else that is on your minds).
Kibler’s are like Glock’s, you can never have just one.
The more I hear this guy talk, the more I like him
I’ve purchased a bunch of your kits since you started your business and remain a delighted customer. I’m on the Hawken list.
We're so glad to have you on board!
This was really great of you all to do. Love seeing the interaction with the viewer/customers. Thanks.
Thank you for your superior customer service and superior rifle kits. I am looking forward to the Hawken kit.
In all sincerity thank you for offering such finely manufactured ML kits, and being the good folk you are.
What ever you do with your business by growth 'make sure you are checking to see that the phone is being answered and that calls are returned. I have been working for close to 50 years ' not answering the phone is the number one thing I have seen kill your sales faster than most all others. You have a great product and great customer service 'thank you and all the employees there who have helped me God bless you in all you do .
Thank you for the feedback. We appreciate it.
just finished an smr 40 cal in cherry these kits are truly amazing .and an absolute tack driver ive only shot it at my club shoot and havent really had time to work up a load yet but 2 inch groups at 25 yds basically out of the box wow...thank you jim
Thank you for the live video. Because of work schedules I listened later. Many good questions and great answers. I love all my Kibler rifles and can hardly wait for the Hawken.
Love your rifle kits! Working on the Woodrunner kit at this moment. Thanks
I can't decide between the smr 45 and 50 woodsrunner. I will 100% be using this for hunting deer/moose. I'm leaning towards 50 cal woodsrunner. Opinions are welcome.
didn't get to watch live.. but watched part last night and the rest this morning. thank you for sitting down and doing these. I would second seeing Jim do a video on fixing pin pops in the stock.. On my first build- the woodsrunner, I didn't account for the fact that the finish would decrease the pin hole diameters and the first one I put back in knocked out a bit on the back side when it pushed through. I learned and opened the rest of them up before putting the pins back in.. but would love some advice on how to fix the one spot I screwed up .. I tried some wood putty, and it is ok for hanging on the wall, but isn't a permanent fix.
My opinion is small, but I’d be one in the Jeager camp! Just found out about them this week. The one featured on the Cap&Ball RUclips channel is gorgeous. Thanks for all your hard work!
I hope your rifle kit will look a lot like the Ithaca/Hawken rifle form the 1970s. I wanted to buy one, as I really liked the looks of them, but by the time I got out of High School, I could not find one to buy. My name is on your list, so when they are available. I will be waiting to order one.
This was fantastic. Better than any Tv. Half the way through a Fowler. Will be ordering a Woods Runner in spring!
Great company with wonderful people!
Bless you all.
Flinter pistol in the future?
Thanks for the support! Yes, likely a pistol kit in future
Thank you.
I built a colonial in fifty four caliber Here in montana.
I currently have it for sale in a hundred and twenty five year old Hardware store in plentywood montana.
I want to build a fowler.
If the gun doesn't sell, that's okay.I'll figure out a way.
Hello. I missed the live session but have sat through this tonight.
I’m interested in your Hawken and was excited to see note of it on American Longrifles and saw your introduction video on RUclips about your future Hawken.
In your answer and questions today, I never saw a time stated anywhere for this. I even set a reminder and thought it was in time but even with that I missed it.
I look forward to seeing more information as you continue to develop this rifle.
Thanks for the quality kits you are producing.
Bryan
I really appreciate you folks taking the time to answer questions, thank you! Kudos to you both, and please express my gratitude to your employees as well. The Hawken will be my sixth kit.
Sorry I missed the live stream just wanted u guys now your awesome and I have a Woodsrunner and love it looking to get your SMR soon!.
We are so glad you like your Woodsrunner! We enjoyed doing the live stream, we appreciate all of our customers
It's nice to have a face and voice to go with a product that I like. This is a rare thing.
Good job with live stream or whatever it’s called. Right away , the answer to peening nose cap screw helped me. I am experienced, and was thinking barrel backing up screw. You are SO right about using separate anvil. Thanks
In the video, it was stated that you added a new machine and I believe Jim said it would be used for “making better barrels.” Are you all going to be rifling barrels again? Or will the new machine just be used for profiling, breeching, crowning, etc?
Fantastic video !!! keep them coming .
thanks for the video it seams like we get to know you and your family would love to see Henry it was very informative
Can you get double triggers for most of your kits
Stocks are the wildcard aren't they. A blemish suddenly appears and causes waste and delays. Is there a scanner that might be able to check for defects eithin the timber?
I built a half stock that looks a lot like a Tennessee rifle, I wanted to shoot saboted bullets. I talked to Rice Barrel and I bought a barrel with a 1 in 24 twist rate and is a real shooter. Accuracy is awesome, I have shot several 3 shot groups at 50yd. that make 1 ragged hole and at 100yd. 3-4in. This is a 36in. barrel and a flint lock, Jim Chambers lock.
Looking forward to seeing your email response. I'll be ordering a SMR but have a few questions. On the hawken pre-list.
Kia Ora from NZ Jim & Whanau. You make fine guns.
Wish we could see them down here❤

I have been requested to carve a stock for my daughter (adult). I have been practicing on maple wood I have. Am a wood worker if sorts. What size v tool do you use?

Have a made the longer Rifte that is The long rifle, also known as the Kentucky rifle, Pennsylvania rifle, or American long rifle, is a muzzle-loading firearm used for hunting and warfare. It was one of the first commonly-used rifles.[1] The American rifle was characterized by a very long barrel of relatively small caliber, uncommon in European rifles of the period.
