Hi Jacqueline,How do I adjust the hook timing on a Bernette 50 machine? I see how it is done on a Bernina machine by taking off the top cover and loosening the screw on the cross shaft. I have been trying to get the back off the Bernette to get at this cross shaft but it is still connected by something and I have all the screws out that are obvious. it is a great machine and did sew 4 layers of leather just fine. Then the bottom thread balled up on a pocket I was sewing on a jacket and it popped and will not pick up the bobbin thread. I can see the hook timing is way off now
@@JacquelineJaroffaith No I don't. I did not even get an operating manual and I'm learning as I go and watch You Tube videos. I know how to make the adjustment on the Bernina machine, but this one is really different and does not come apart to access the shaft so I think the adjustment is in the needle position
Here go through Bernina you can find a lot of information here: www.bernina.com/en-US/Support-US/Out-of-Print-Manuals/bernette-manuals/Bernette-Sewing-Machines
@@JacquelineJaroffaith Thanks I will look at that to get the manual.. But Id did get the housing off the machine and I did not want to try to adjust anything I was not familiar with and it looked nothing like the inside of a Bernina so I took it to a sewing machine repair shop to make sure it was fixed right. Cheers, Jim
I will try this.. I have the same make and model but my machine won't zig zag any longer so I don't know if it is alignment or just out of adjustment.. Not been serviced since it was purchased in 95 I think..
@@JacquelineJaroffaith I know it's been a while but I should do it again. I will try that along with some other troubleshooting and see how it goes Thank you :)
@@JacquelineJaroffaith THANK YOU! I couldn't find the class name in the manual, and I searched high and low... I thought it might be class 15, but I wasn't sure!
🤔 hmm, well I could do a video on different kinds of presser foot. Let me see what I can come up with. I have a different playlist called: ruclips.net/p/PLEovAv4XHMA7fQxy-63M2NvcteAt9BPw8&si=wQIQg5i_wji7Nt1t ***Keep checking there for "Different Kinds of Presser Foots"

When was the last time you oil it? Clean any dust in the upper area.

Do you know what class/ size bobbin this machine takes? We have one at my school but it is missing the bobbin and bobbin case!
Class 15 # X52800150

Hi there! Have you got a video on how to change the foot on this machine? I’ve been struggling
