I purchased a Bernina Aurora 430 maching and shortly thereafter, moved. I have never felt comfortable/confident in using my Bernina and was glad to find your video. Thank you. I'm hoping I'll be able to watch more videos and find some classes.
I’m so glad this video was helpful for you! The Bernina is a wonderful machine and I’m sure you will be able to learn quickly. Thank you for watching! 💛
Really appreciated your video. I purchased my Bernina Bernette 65 probably 6 or more years ago and before I had a chance to even break it out of the box, I was hospitalized and had to have lung surgery. I am just now, believe it or not setting up my machine. I look forward to watching your other videos. Thank you.
This video is going to help me so much! My MIL is having memory challenges now and I’m having to teach my FIL. The book isn’t helping so I’m going to save this for them! I even learned some things about the gadgets on this machine and possibly my bernina! Again Thank You! 🙏👏🏻
This is such an amazing video!!! I've checked all over RUclips for half an hour and read the bernina instruction hand book thing and I couldn't find nothing till I found this video!!! Thank you 😉
Thanks so much for this! I've got my moms machine, but she's no longer here to teach me to use it, and I am ready to learn! Thanks for getting me started!
Awesome video!! Thank you so much. It had been 15 years since I was able to use my Bernina because of many life changes. I was so excited to get it back and start sewing again but I could NOT get it threaded! You saved me! Now if I could just figure out if it is making too much noise when I sew LOL. Make more videos girl-you saved my sanity!!
Thanks. You did Bernina proud with this vid. Excellent! I so appreciate no competing music or other customers talking, etc. You let me focus on some wonderful close-ups and simple narration. (PS-I rarely take time to send kudos but you deserve this). Do you have a list of other vids that you have made? Thanks
Loved the threading tutorial, but cannot figure out how to attach the spool holder to the body of the machine. There is a tiny metal piece that secures it. Can you tell us about this? Thanks so much.
You do need that metal piece to keep the spool holder in place. If your missing that piece I would figure out an alternative or take it to a sewing machine repair shop and see if they have the part. Hope that helps!
Hi.. I just found your video about threading the Bernina 430. First of all, great job! Truly, your pictures were awesome.. better than Bernina..I have had my 440 QE, for quite a few years now. Since 2006. Just now, after all these years and many many stitches later, I am having tension issues.. did you ever do a video about tension for this machine? I am trying to avoid taking it in, but maybe it's just time. Thanks for listening. Kate.
I haven’t done any videos dealing with the tension. I feel like I’m not really qualified to talk about it since I don’t work for the machine company or know really how to handle tension in an in-depth way. I’m so glad you found the threading video helpful! I would suggest taking it in if it’s not something basic
Ended up taking her in .. he discovered a 6” piece of thread coiled tight where the upper tension wheels come together.. ..serviced other things.. it is purring like a kitten. Like new….
Thank you so much for this video. I believe something I’m doing is still wrong however, because the part that holds the bobbin case keeps falling out. How do I put that back in correctly? Everytime I start to sew it all falls apart.
Yea that means the casing is not in there correctly. There isn’t really a great way to explain how it supposed to be put in but I would say look at videos and pictures of it to see exactly how it’s done
Do older sewing machines of a same maker tend to thread the same? Or... maybe I should have worded it ... do makers tend to have most or all of their sewing machine models over the years tend to thread the same? And could you use this to figure out how to thread older models by using a younger model's instructions? Thanks.
Most sewing machines do thread very similarly! There can be small things that are different but once you get the idea of how to thread one, you can thread most
Do you know of any good tutorials on the activa 135? You have the best tutorial I've seen but when it comes to the lay step of threading the needle, I see no lever
Ha! Wait until you're my age. You'll want that dang automatic threader, and maybe several pairs of reading glasses because you can't thread a needle without them unless your arms are extremely long!
Haha that’s true, I’m sure it is much trickier when you get older. Shoot even the girls I teach lessons in person to are always complaining about threading the needle and they are 9 years old 🤣🤣
Hello - the tread broke and when I pulled it from the top of the machine - it broke inside the machine. Can you show me what to do to get the thread out? thanks
love the close ups.... so wish you had gone just a tad farther to show exactly how to get both threads to the back. I am thinking the lower thread just comes up and goes along the plate to the back and the upper thread goes into the notch and goes back. The book is not too clear. Everything else you did make up for Bernina's lack of clarity. Many thinks!!!
what is going on in the back of the machine! okay I have the thread on the spool does the thread come off the back or front? Where do I go next? I despise the machine.
This automatic needle threader is complete bullshit. It makes things even more difficult and takes more time than just using your hand and a well-cut thread.
I never use the needle threader because of this! You have to make sure the needle is in the perfect position or it won’t work and could break so I totally understand!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Definitely the best tutorial on threading a Bernina that I could find. Now I can move forward on my sewing journey.
I’m so glad you found it helpful! Thank you so much for watching 💛💛

Bless you heart. Best tutorial out there, hands down. Thank you for taking the time. You're helping people 6 years later😁

Finally a complete video on how to thread the bernina. I watched other treads that just show how to spool the bobbin or how to put it in the case
Was super clear and helpful! Watched a different video and couldn’t quite understand where the thread was supoosed to be going but with this i got it!
So glad it was helpful!! 💛

I have not used my machine in years and I forgot how to do that take up lever. Thank you .
Happy to help!

Nice job. Brief and to the point but with tons of great close ups and good info. I got it right first try while watching video. Thank you :)
Activa 145s bernina lettering instruction
Bernina activa 145s lerrering programming
That was excellent! So clearly explained and visually demonstrated.Thank you!
You're very welcome!
I'm still trying to use the auto threader. If the rest of the tutorials are as good as this one this will be fun!!
This was terrific. Thank you!!

Super super helpful! Thank you!
good video, remember to mention that to use the auto needle threader to put the presser foot in the down position, someone may not know that.
Omg this helped me so much
Very helpful - thanks!

Diddo on what philisophe said. EXCELENT!! INSTRUCTIONS.
I am a teacher and this is wonderful to use in a class of 30+ students. One suggestion. The camera wiggles a lot. But the teaching is great.
Thank you for this video!!!!!!
With my machine it is recommended to have the pressure foot raised. It will separate the tension disk and thread tension will work easier.
You did a great job explaining thread track
super epic!!!
Thanks so much 💛💛

Glad you enjoyed it
helped me alot thanks
Would like to know purpose of finger on bobbin case if you do not thread through the small hole in its end.
I’ve used this when changing the tension of the bobbin like if you wanted to created a shirred effect. But I don’t use it for my daily sewing
Do older sewing machines of a same maker tend to thread the same? Or... maybe I should have worded it ... do makers tend to have most or all of their sewing machine models over the years tend to thread the same? Excellente vision pour savoir le faire correctement, ces très petit ,sur la machine , et plus des yeux de 20 ans

The *last* step
same with my artista 170

Hello - the tread
broke and when I pulled it from the top of the machine - it broke inside the machine. Can you show me what to do to get the thread out? thanks
I usually just use tweezers or a needle to get the thread out. If you can’t you may need to take it to a repair shop!
We know these tips in school we have bernina
I loooove Bernina! Such a wonderful machine!
Ok when you di this is the pressure for up?
Needle up?
No.one says that
When threading you always want the presser foot up so the tension is released for threading. Needle should be all the way up as well. Good question!
love the close ups.... so wish you had gone just a tad farther to show exactly how to get both threads to the back. I am thinking the lower thread just comes up and goes along the plate to the back and the upper thread goes into the notch and goes back. The book is not too clear. I need some help mine failed to work can't remember what buttons I pressed 😞😰
what is going on in the back of the machine! okay I have the thread on the spool does the thread come off the back or front? Where do I go next? I despise the machine.
did not work
