- Manchester City recovered from a goal down to beat Luton Town 2-1 and end a run of four games without victory.
Despite an impressive opening 45, the Blues conceded in first-half added time to trail 1-0 at the break.
But the Treble winners continued to pin the home side back after the restart and were rewarded around the hour-mark with two quickfire goals from Bernardo and Jack Grealish to take all three points.

Rodri is unreal, when he drove into the box for the first goal it was unreal. You've gotta love how everyone plays better with him. Ake is so good and he's helped cover Josko at LB while playing CB when they've both started the game. Now we just need to play Manu at RB instead of pairing him with Ruben and ease John the CDM into match fitness.
This is why Bernardo should stay at City

I am not even a city supporter, F.C.Porto all the way here but i love this team and i am extremely happy for Grealish, he really needed that goal.... and city too.... city got a important goal and hopefully one of his key players back! Nothing against Doku but no one replaces Grealish, he is not just a player, he is family, and when you play with that kind of chemistry everyone plays better...
On other highlight videos you can see the way Walker hugs him and lifts him in the air... and Bernardo's face before hugging him too... its as genuine as it gets and that is why i love this team, it's literally a family... heck! maybe i am a supporter too... as long as you don't play against Porto of course x)

2 players in this team can score from outside the box.
Rodri and Alvarez, so why aren't they shooting more. It can cause a deflection, the keeper may make a mistake, the ball may curl, can go for a corner, can rebound for a tap in. But all these things don't happen if u don't shoot.
If Silva doesn't shoot, the 1st goal doesn't happen, u keep passing and allow the opponents to form defence
because pep do not encourage them to take a shot from distance as often. Its clear from their movements that they have been instructed to shoot from afar only if there is a clear chance. the guy dont wanna lose possession
@@arunk7408 i know its Pep's instructions, but its clearly not helping. Also we have World class players who have the skills to execute shots from afar, why curb them.
Also currently it's not helping. We are bound to make a misplaced pass, the opponent gets 1 counter, and they score. Everything becomes undone in 1 moment. It's just not possible to keep the ball for 90 mins. It's better to keep attacking and put pressure on opponents and make them defensive.
@@ImaybeNormal I am not saying to take shots blindly. Yesterday 2 were taken, both were great and helped. Also it's who is taking the shot also matters, that's why i mentioned 2 names.
Grealish was open so many times yesterday but wasted all those opportunities by holding and passing.
Those could have resulted in more goals and thereby less pressure.

Pep said that he is not ready for it in a press conference. I'm not gonna lie, I do not know what he is missing. He is very confident with the ball and stats show that he is one of the best CBs in the world in progressive carriers and progressive passes. Plus, he is underperforming when deployed at LB(by his standards). That's not his position. He gets easily confused when wingers are at those positions where they can cut in or out. But we shall wait and see. In Pep we trust.

Foden is one of the weakness in this team because his job is to be central midfielder, the link between midfield and attacks but he's fond of always trying to do haaland and Alvarez job and it making the team suffer especially in the midfield
Rodri hardcarried this game. Sad we didnt hjad him in the match 3 days prior to this one...
If there's a guy that is carrying us, its him. When he drove into the box and his control and passes in the final third you saw why we need him. However, I do feel like he must stop picking up stupid yellow cards that lead to suspension.

Match without Rodri is 3 point for opponent. Sad situation as Phillips, Kovacic, Nunes can't chip in to that role.

Walker has always do like that. I don't know his mind but he is always slow. Remember when against Sheffield united when he did mistake gave the ball to opponent, he didn't straight get up but lying on the field. On that time if he quickly get up and help covered, the opponent possibly can't scoring the goal.Become captain same thing, slow respon instead Dias respon faster than him.

I hope the Haaland haters watched this match and see how me missed Haaland in this game. Would have been more than 2 goals if we had someone as clinical as Haaland upfront. I hope y'all can see it and stop the Haaland/Alvarez comparison. The fact that Alvarez has a world cup doesn't make him any better than Haaland . It isn't Haaland's fault he wasn't born an Argentine. We missed Haaland in this game and I hope he returns soon!!! Disagree all you want but Alvarez isn't Haaland.
Alvarez isn't Haaland but no one ever claimed he is...Alvarez is a different player you can't compare them. I still personally believe Alvarez fits Guardiola's team more, with wingers as technical and as good at scoring as city have, Alvarez's link-up play and ability to make space for teammates plus his inteligence and technique on the ball to create chances are very valuable. Let alone his relentless pressing all game and he is a good finosher too, plus he's got good long shots. You don't need to compare them, Haaland is a classic finisher who needs to be fed balls, he's the best at it since not just anyone could score so much even if fed that many good chances, but Alvarez is a more balanced and all around striker who does a crap ton of other things. Mind you they scored the winner after Alvarez got the ball (you don't see Haaland making tackles like that btw..) and then running into space on the wing knowing its fine if he's not the one to score and put in a perfect cross for Grealish who had an open goal. Alvarez isn't praised just because he's Argentinian, its the other way around, Haaland is praised way too much for his numbers while Alvarez goes under appreciated...
I am bold to tell you CITY needs more of Alvarez than Haaland. You simply underestimate Alvarez work rate. Haaland' conversion rate has dropped, be honest. Even if CITY signs a new striker that aims to tap in, he would score goals only that PeP doesn't focus on using strikers for striking roles completely until Haaland came.
