- Jeremy Doku scored and claimed four assists as Manchester City moved top of the Premier League with a 6-1 victory over Bournemouth.
The Belgian opened the scoring after half an hour after a delightful curling strike following a neat one-two with Rodrigo.
He then played the passes that led to precision finishes for Bernardo Silva’s two goals and Phil Foden either side of a shot that clipped Manuel Akanji’s back for City’s third.
Nathan Ake added a late sixth for a victory as we extended our home winning run in the Premier League to 21 matches to set a new club record.

When Bournmouth were relegated a couple of years ago, my thoughts were, I hope a team picks up Ake. I never thought it would be City but I'm so glad it was. Such a brick in the foundation of the defence.

Doku has looked exceptional from the first moment he stepped on the pitch for City. I have been a bit surprised people haven't picked up on this earlier & that Pep hasn't played him more. This game put Doku's talents on full display. He's going to be a major factor in City's season.

Doku is so strong and confident with the ball. Silva's still bossing the midfield. Kovacic isn't in his best form, he has to get a goal to recover his best form. Walker is Walker. City is in a whole another level.

I had even forgotten that Kovacic kicked the game off and played both half's of the game. I think maybe KDB steps right into his position, Nunes has some sort of impact in the second half atleast, nothing spectacular from Kova tho. Everyone else, even Julian without a goal is playing their roles well.

I like Grealish least. He slows play, doesn’t release the ball early, but his tracking back and helping in the midfield is intergral to City winning the treble last year.
