I live in Brooklyn USA now... but I was born in Bad Kissingen, grew-up in Sömmersdorf/Kützberg & Schweinfurt (highschool in Würzburg) - - I miss my homeland, Beautiful Unterfranken!!!
The highest expression of enthusiasm for a Franconian man is 'Bassd sho' (that's fine).
From a Franconian now living in the culinaric waste land of Baden (-Wuerttemberg).
My Franconian ancestors are from Ansbach/Wurzburg/ and Bayreuth enjoyed this information very much
Just moved to Nuremberg and found your video as a great introduction. Thanks a lot!!
Welcome to Franconia! I hope you have a great time here!
I may be a Texan now, but I'm happy to say that my hometown is Großgressingen by Ebrach.
Mine family originates from more the Zettmannsdorf area on grandmothers side.
Steigerwald proud
Gott sei dank ❤
Hab mal in Ebrach 9 Monate Urlaub verbracht.
Tolles Video!!
Also, please forgive my grammar, I am an American.
Great video! I do genealogy and have found that my earliest ancestors who immigrated to the US were ... you guessed, it, Franconians! I'm excited to find out all I can about the areas there were from.
My family is from Mellrichstadt, Lower Franconia. This was a good watch.
Fascinating stuff! Love videos like this 😊
Germany was a separate bunch of Kingdoms. They were all separate states. Then in time of war they all came under the Kaiser. Beer, I thought Franconia was famous for the Franconian wine. Didn't realize Prince Albert was from Coberg.
Franconia actually has the Most breweries per Capita in the entire world and they are the best by far
der Erfinder des Flugzeuges ist auch Franke.

hey bitches, I'm a Merican, lol. actually, I care much about my cultural background, I've actually visited portions of my familial background... primarily through my dad's dad: (Bad Neustadt a.d. Saale / Hershfeld... Würzburg), and and my dad's mom... (Graz, Osterreich)... but obviously it goes deeper than our parents. Regardless, whereas once I somewhat understood that one of my primary cultural sources was Bavaria, I now default to Lower Franconia.
I'm glad I could be of help and clarify that a little! ;-)
Sehr gut.Grüsse aus Henneberg Franken
I think many prominent United States Jews were from Franconia. I would like to know more about Franconian Jews in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Also, what is Franconia's connection to France? And to Frankfurt am Main?
🇵🇹👍🏻Franken Provinz🇩🇪
That color is peach 😉😃
Everything I think of as typically German is really Franconian.
I just wanna point out that Fürth just took over Würzburg as the second biggest franconian city.
I know. I learned about that after I had made the video. Well... what can I say... S. happens.
@@FrankenHerzEuropas Yeah. Greetings from a guy from Fürth (actually I grew up in Cadolzburg) who lives in Copenhagen now.
My ancestry is represented by Upper and Middle Franconian. I could interpret my Grandmothers Franconian German better than regular German.
Do not be fooled into believing this region is pure a Germanic ancestry. a very large Slavic migration occurred in the 1200-1300s settled in the Franconia region in great masse. You can still see it in Franconian with the dark hair and dark eyes. Some of my aunts in-laws had very dark traits that more probably could be mistaken for Magyar than Franconian.
You're polish right?
@@amadiohastruck4331 No but I have a very old book in Old German that details the influx of a new era of population in the region.
My wife is Franconian (Würzburg), there for I am by marriage 😂
0:10 what's the name of the Movie is that Lord of Rings ?
Yes! Part III, The Return Of The King.
@@FrankenHerzEuropas Danke
Hallo.
I wish BBC presenters spoke English as well as you do.
5:00 Never been to Germany, never even left North America and i only know english. However i self identify as a Franconian.
born in schweinfurt, miss home
Julius Streicher was also from Franconia
No. He was Swabian. He was born in Augsburg, grew up and studied there. He later came to Nuremberg as a teacher. Unfortunately... 😕
@@FrankenHerzEuropas oh, ok. Thanks for the reply!
