My favorite deck from P. Cassidy! 😊 Surprisingly, I really like her take on some cards in the LWB (like 'repressed feelings' for the H.P. or 'a false start' for the 3 of Wands rx). And I agree 💯. It's by far the flimsiest box I have EVER seen. And I've been in the tarot world for several decades...

What are your thoughts on the Shadowscapes tarot?

Hello Amy, that is a really good question….and to be honest…. I don’t like it… I bought it and I never use it, it just seats on my shelves… the card stock is not for me, I don’t relate to the drawings, the color palette is not my favorite etc…. Just not my type of deck. Thanks for watching and sharing.😊

      Interesting!
I’m glad to hear your opinion. I find the images evocative, yet admittedly, very busy. I had no idea the card stock was substandard.
I was seriously considering buying it, but will reconsider.

@amysbees6686 of course that is just my opinion…. We are all different. That is just my personal opinion….

      Of course!
Yet after watching your videos where you discuss card stock, and how it relates to not only the overall quality of a deck but its suitability for shuffling, I feel like a new world has opened up for me! This is helping me to make informed decisions about the myriad tarot and oracle decks that are currently on the market. (Honestly, the selection is mind-blowing, and truly overwhelming.)
So which do I choose? The one that I find cute or adorable in some way, or one that will serve me effectively in the years to come. Will I even still want that deck a decade from now? (Given all the “deck decluttering” videos showing up!) Rob, from what I’ve seen of your collection, a mere sampling of course, it appears to me you truly curate your collection. Much like a museum director, boutique owner or interior designer edits the items under their purview.
While I can easily see how people develop these vast collections of hundreds of decks, I see too how it is critical to periodically purge them as well.
I only have one usable tarot deck, at present, with my second on the way. I hope to one day acquire a few more, with some accompanying oracle decks. Being moderately OCD, I can easily become not just a collector, but a hoarder. (I’ve been working over the past year to pare down and organize my vast book collection- history, architecture, gardening, and literature, among others.)

@amysbees6686 hello again, if I could do it all over again I would be very, very selective about which decks to get as you used a very important word which is hoarding….. one thing is collecting and the other is just buying for buying…..only you can decide which de k is the right deck for you and a lot of it is trial and error…. Enjoy every step of the process and reach out from time to time to share how you are doing. Thanks for watching and for sharing.🙌
