Congratulations absolute monster from a river take my hat off to that one. Bigger than my river best Always get the rod back in when you have had a big one they can often come in pairs. If I get a big pike I usually have a good mind double in the same place. I think I have had 4 or 5 braces going over 35lb. From drain, river, canal and gravel pits so even on very different venues they are often together. I achieved my first river twenty this year it's been very hard and taken a long time. The worst thing is I'm fishing the Trent and the river that obsessed with angling is on. He's had monsters from the river and good mid twenties for backup 😭.
been pike fishing for 30 years.. caught my pb 4 times over this year on the livescope.. mostly mid summer.. im now skipping on winter fishing.. too cold for me! Id rather catch them wearing shorts drinkin a beer..
