    Merci aux britanniques de faire la pub pour l'A 400 M. On eut aimé que l'Armée de l'Air et de l'Espace en fasse autant.

    I see both German and Spanish A400M 's as they land a depart daily at a USAF base here in the US. They appear to be a very stable and powerful airplane. I am an aviator and would not hesitate to get a ride on one if offered. AirBus has built some very successful aircraft.

    The A400M is capable of landing on austere landing sites. They regularly land at Pembrey sands beach here in South Wales. Some very good RUclips videos if you want to search.

    Just to let you know... in the US Military, INERT rounds are denoted by a blue-painted body casing. Yellow or orange is ONLY limited to testing/experimental usage.

    The A400M is probably the best suited for the RNZAF even thou im a big fan of the C17, i just wish the New Zealand government would get their act together and make it so. Once a long time ago we had the best flyers in the world now look were we are. so sad.

    The purpose of turbo-prop rather than high-bypass jet engine is that even when plane is standing still the props are pushing air over the wings and making lift, so in some ways the speed of air over the wings is indipendent of aircraft speed... allowing for slower landings as well as short take off. Turbo props are also very efficient on fuel.

      it's amazing how big the turoo-props have gotten ,,i have yet to see the A400M in person but i see the C5 galaxy and C-17 globemaster regularly where i live near Offutt AFB outside of bellevue Ne ,,i've even seen the new KC46 Pegasus fly over my house a couple times ,,,Offutt just reopened their runway after 3 years of reconstruction so they are very active training

    The turboprops turn diff directions because how close they are, and if they didnt they would fight against each other. DERP. They HAVE to do this... not because its better... want an example why? look at 1:31 and the parked airbus in the background and the props.

    I still think jets are a stronger propulsion than blades. most other new transports are jet.

    • @chrissmith2114
      @chrissmith2114 Год назад +4

      The turbo prop blades are pushing airflow over the wings and providing lift even before aircraft starts to roll for takeoff so they allow a much shorter take off - turboprop also easier to maintain and less likely to be damaged by FOD...

    a reminder, propeller-driven transport planes can land on any terrain, even unprepared, a plane with jet engines cannot, their huge jet engines could suck in debris and damage the fan blades!
